The padded helmet offers decent protection for light contact sports or activities. I recently started to learn how-to rollerblade and fall a lot! I decided to give this a try just for extra protection--it didn't take long to test it out.Pros:- Fits large heads well- Has adjustable chin strap- Fits well under other helmetsCons:- The adjustment string on the back doesn't really do much except get in the way- The chin strap works, but with the fabric, it gets twisted and stuck easilyOverall, this covers the head well and some of the ears. The padded blocks soften the blow effectively and protects the noggin!

I got this as an attempt of keeping my kid with seizures a little safer in the house. It was too itchy for comfortable wear. The strap is cheap and the seams split after minimal use.
