The cams are held in place by bolts going through the middle to nuts. When I received mine, all 4 nuts had come off and the internal springs that make the cam open/close, had popped loose. I had to struggle to get everything back in place. Once together the cams performed as designed. The manufacturer should have place a piece of tape over each nut to keep things in place during shipping. I deducted 2 stars for the frustration of having to reassemble everything before use, otherwise I would have given 5.

I didn't buy the more expensive name brand cam cleats as the task didn't have any heavy loads. The bolts that came with the cam cleat were too short for my application. I was holding that cam tightly. But when I removed the bolt that half of the cam popped and spun the spring out. No matter what or how hard I tried, I was unable to reset the spring! I tried the other cam cleat, one of it's cam spring was already sprung! This never happened when I used the more expensive cam cleats! Never Again!

Great product. Does what it needs to do so far. No issues with the mechanics and made with quality. Using it with my trolley system and anchor.

These were well built and as described but I didn't measure for what I wanted. I intended to use them on my Hobie Cat to hold a small line. These were too big. But they worked very well on another sailboat to hold some bungie lines that control the keel. I screwed and glued them in place and they are doing the job quite nicely. I like the combination of quick release and sturdy hold.

These clips work as expected. I mounted them on my fishing kayak. I did have a problem while mounting. I let one side slip and it came apart and spring sprung out. Haven’t figured out how to get it back together.

It is what it is and works well. So far appears to be of good durable quality

Using it on a folding kayak sailing rig. Good, secure cleats that easily release and engage the lines that I use in sailing. No slippage.

It did not hold the 2 to 3mm diameter cord I was using had to buy the more expensive Harken Cleat that worked perfectly.
