This is the factory recommended pump for my outdoor fountain. It worked well for 2.7 months and all was well. When it started to shut off I figured it was just time to clean out the intake area. It had a little debris so I cleaned it out. I tested the pump without any upward lift and a clean intake area. The thermo fuse still shuts it off every few minutes. Now it does not work at all Cost me about $30 dollars a month to own what is now useless to me.

Was a replacement for a 20 y.o. fountain. Same motor as the old one, same quality. Took 2 minutes to replace the old one.24 hour service by Amazon exceptional. Actually took 18 hours.

I bought this for my parents swamp cooler after I got tired of replacing the cheap china crap that Home Depot stocks. I have used these for many years in the past for indoor grows and they never failed me. Now they can and do eventually stop working, everything does however you will get your money's worth out of this brand.P.S. They can not run dry like most swam cooler pumps do. But they do have built in heat overloads for what it's worth.

I had one of these several year ago in an outdoor water feature that eventually died and I replaced it with a cheaper pump with the same specifications but it was not of great quality and didn’t last one season. I went back to the Little Giant and am glad I did. Great quality.

will never understand why manufacturers can't leave enough room between the discharge pipe and the pump to thread on an elbow(which forces you to use an extra coupling and pipe nipple , that said the last one of these pumps ran continuously for years

I personally consider this one of the best water fountain pumps out there. Especially more multi tiered fountains. I live in Michigan and I'm to lazy to store these in the winter. So when I fire up the fountain in May, it has yet to fail me.It's worth every penny.
