It was a little smaller than the one I replaced. not because of the product because I didn't measure correctly. anyhow bought extension chains. Easy to put up and looks great!

I bought a flip down ceiling mount TV that did not latch TV in the "up" position. Since this was in the middle of my basement; I needed the flip up to use the space underneath. I attached (2) chains and carabiners to (2) hitch rings with 4 lag screws to the ceiling beams. The chain supports the base of the TV and holds it in the "parallel to the ceiling" position. The ceiling mount works well for the top of the TV and is good in the "down" position. Chain, carabiners, and hitch rings are rated at 400 lbs, so should hold the bottom half of the 45 lb. TV safely, forever. Looks cool, too.
