I ordered this cover up to wear over a bathing sun out in the sun. First out of the package, I noticed the weight of the garment. The nylon/spandex fabric is single-layer with the fabric weight of nylon/spandex swimsuit material. About double the weight of a cotton shirt of the same size. This is not a flimsy shirt. The synthetic fabric does not hold water and drys quickly. The cut of the garment is like a button-up dress shirt, seven-button reverse placket, 3" button cuffs, open classic wing collar. Buttons are the correct direction correct for a women's shirt. The hem is rolled, folded, and straight stitched. In all, it is a very well-made shirt. It has a square cut with a nice drape. The feel is cool and comfortable.I ordered an XL. At 5'8", the fit is exactly as I would expect. The sleeves are cut like a dress shirt, long enough to cover my wrist. Sleeves are roomy, but not baggy. The shirt is somewhat stretchy in both directions. I like the fit over a swimsuit. This is a nice garment, well made, fits good, looks good to wear. I recommend this to anyone needing an opaque coverup.

This isn't exactly what I was expecting for a shirt intended to be worn in the sun. I live in a very hot environment and the SPF clothing I buy tends to as light and breathable as possible. I guess I was looking at the image more than the description, because the shirt hangs off the model more like light cotton shirt. Hers also looks matte. This shirt is pretty heavy and has a LOT of stretch. It reminds me of a heavy springy maxi skirt I have. It also reminds me a bit of old fashioned real Spandex. It's also really shiny like Spandex. The listing says it's mostly nylon with 13% Spandex. It doesn't feel like it will breathe well, but I'll give it a chance when it warms up. This seems like it might be better suited to cool climate outdoor activities rather than a "swim beach coverup". Fishing? Maybe fly fishing in a river. Not surf fishing. The construction is good. It's well sewn with nice hems, buttons, and pockets.

It's good to have something for extra sun protection, especially if you're hanging out in a place where sunblock can damage the coral. This is generally oversized- see the fit on the model where the shoulder seams are designed to sit past the shoulder. Seems to be designed to be comfortable and breathable, but still block the sun. It's not at all fitted, so it won't give you a figure unless you belt it, tie it, or tuck it. But all and all, very functional.

Boyfriend style, which means it is supposed to be big. I usually wear a XL or XXL. I ordered an XXL and it is almost too big. Very sturdy, thick material. Stretchy and soft. It works as a layer over a tank top, bathing suit, but can also be worn to work as a blouse or jacket. The workmanship is exceptional - straight and neat. Light blue color is nice.

My wife loves a similar looking sun shirt she purchased when we were camped at the Grand Canyon. The Libin UPF 50 Sun Shirt has a flattering cut: low at the front and back, rising at the hips, not just a big baggy tent look you sometimes see in a sun shirt. So it's functional for outdoor protection, and stylish should you hit civilization. My wife's other sun shirt's are size LARGE, they fit her 5'4" 36-C frame great. The Libin seems to run large, this shirt in LARGE is a full size too big in every dimension, sleeves, chest and length. Which is a shame, as the shirt's flattering cut, and the nice way the material hangs, it would look great in a MEDIUM.Feelings were mixed on the material, I thought it felt a little rubbery, she thought it was ok, comparing it to her bathing suit material's feel.Price-wise, this quality sun shirt cost half of what she paid for her last sun shirt.

I got this for my mom who is always wearing a sweater, inside or out. This is a perfect cover up when you don't need anything heavier. The size seems to be true to the chart. It is soft to the touch and is elastic due to the spandex. This makes a good shirt for knocking around but want some cover for your arms.

Is this the perfect shirt for fishing? I doubt it, but over a bathing suit, think wet, coming out of ocean, perfect. I have both cotton and linen shirts I take to the beach and am anxious to try this one. I got this shirt wet and was really impressed with how quickly it dried. In the photos below, you can see how great it looks coming out of the dryer. Wow! NOT like cotton or linen. Is this a whole new look for the summer? The shirt is very comfortable to wear, although heavy, and I'm interested in how it feels in the hot, humid weather here. But right now, I'm very pleased with how this shirt looks over a tank top.

After receipt, I went back and looked at the listing as I never would have thought of it as a beach garment. Unpackaging it I pictured it more paired with a suit for a sophisticated classic dressy look in the conference room.It is well made, nice stitching, with a 7-button front closure with crisp 3" cuffs, although the sleeves are a bit short on me as I am 5'-9", lean so ordered a small, and long armed - they don't make many garments for tall slim women, which is why when I was modeling, they had to clothespin larger sizes (to get length) in the back for a proper fit.For a beach coverup, I could see packing it to put on for early evening when the sun is less intense and it might get a little chilly. Not the usual, fun breezy beach look so it would definitely stand out. It is a substantial fabric even if it is buttery soft and super comfortable against the skin - a great feature if you'd have a sun burn. Wearing it I don't feel it is at all heavy but uber comfortable - although when I got more active I was too warm, long sleeves contributed to that.Probably a very versatile top, appropriate and stylish in many situations. Quite good looking.
