I bought this as a spare because of all the good ratings. My heatpump unit needed something that would lift water about 9 feet before going horizontal for 15' more. The pump can handle it fine if you hold up the float but with any sort of required lift what happens is the unit pumps out about 1/2 cup of water which drops it enough to disengage the switch and the pump shuts off. This means the condensate pump tank is always 75% full and since there is such a small area of activating/deactivating the switch what happens is the unit will pump the water about 6 or 7 feet up the correct size drain house then the pump will shut off because the float inside drop.Once the pump shuts off the water in the drain line drains back into the tank and the pump will then run again... for a second or two, which repeats the process. This pump is useless for any sort of lift. It does the job if I run a temp drain line into my floor drain, which really defeats the purpose of having a pump at all.Unfortunately, I bought this pump to have a spare around until I needed it. When my old pump went out last month I installed the Liberty unit and found out about their flaw. The only "adjustment" is to bend the arm on the microswitch but all that does is change the level as to when the pump is activated. The flat needs to be longer to allow for a larger range of turning off and on the pump itself (much like the float in a toilet tank) but that is impossible to modify the unit to do so.This is a good pump just as long as you don't have to lift the water - which is pretty useless because if I wanted to run the water line horizontal to the floor drain I would not need a pump in the first place because gravity can move the water and I don't have to worry about a quart of water in the reservoir getting all moldy and clogging the line, which happens in basements if the water sits too long.

Runs real short but it is not as quiet as they say it is. Would be better if it was put in some sort of a box.

This is a quality pump made in Taiwan versus mainland China. Although my last one was made in the U.S., this one looks to be of about the same quality and the previous pump lasted over 10 years. The pump was easy to set up and has a higher lift capacity that most of the competitors. I highly recommend this pump over most of the other brands. It is high quality and reasonably prices.

There is only a single float to run the pump, so when the tank fills the pump runs for a quick 2 second burst and stops. The water level only drops an inch or so. I called the manufacturer and they confirmed this is how it works and there will always be plenty of water in the reservoir. The alarm float works as advertised and trips just before the tank reaches the overflow level.

I’ve had this for about two months, and it’s been working great. It pumps very quickly, much quicker than my previous one. It isn’t silent, but it’s also not too loud.

This pump operates every day since purchased going on four years, pushing condensate from a machine vertically 13 feet, then 20 feet across to a drain. Excellent product. Add on to this review: two plus years later of daily use yet to have an issue.
