I used to have chord roll ups that worked with a spring loaded button that you pressed. These are just the manual type that you have to roll each morning. Returned them.

We use these daily and wouldn't be without them. Perfect for keeping the cords out of the cat's reach and for safety when our toddler grandson visits.

My kitten is OBSESSED with our blinds & my solution was to crumple them all up & tuck them away so she couldn't get to them. It made for an ugly messy look! So I took a chance on these. Yes, they're plastic but they don't need to be any other material for me to love them! The instructions say to wrap one string one way & then wrap the other the opposite way. At least that's how I interpreted it. However, this is what works for me. I wrapped that way for the side of the blinds that open & close the slats but for the strings that bring the blinds up & down I found that holding the two strings together & wrapping in one direction works great for me. This way I can take the whole entire round part & pull it or release it so I don't have to worry about one side pivoting higher than the other. I still need to wrap & lock, but it's easy & far less wrapping to do. When I had either side done the way that they had instructed I was wasting a lot of time wrapping each string all over again... every time. Since that was every day it really was a lot. Now my blinds look so much neater & Miss Marbles can't get to them, nor is she trying to because I don't have strings dangling. I'll attach a picture later on but wanted to put this review in while I had some down time. Highly recommend.
