The imprints it makes are clean, but your leather must be properly cased (wettened) first. It can be hard to align the imprints, but that's to be expected, and will take some time to get used to. The pics are of my first project using this stamp, and it came out pretty good. Be patient, and take your time.

The design on the face is not cut very deep so it does not make a very visible design.
