Replaced a cracked box of the same shape and size with this one. Works well, and the size and shape are spot on. However, the drain and vent holes on the new box are opposite of the original. You might not think that matters, but it did in this case because only one of the holes has a lip where the short discharge pipe from the pump is supposed tonseat just under the threaded drain pipe. Without that lip, the pump just sprays the water back into the box. I had to cut and add an angle on my drain to get it to line up properly.

Easy to assemble. Used as a bar sink pump box. Grind out the top threads on the box lid or bush down to a smaller diameter discharge pipe. Makes it easier to access the pump without making exact plumbing measurements as you just chase the plumbing straight up through the hole. I drained the sink through the side access point.I didn’t use the supplied check valve. Too many others complained about it leaking by.Hardware store has them along with a pump.Absolutely no complaints

I purchased this item to replace a similar one that had worn out after many years of use. Overall, I am very pleased with this unit, but I was disappointed to find that it did not include any installation instructions. For some people this may not be a problem, but it is very easy to confuse the outlet hole in the lid for the vent hole. And if you mix them up, it can lead to catastrophic results. So you may want to do some research before attempting to setup your laundry sump system.

This is a replacement for an exact same ( probably 15+ years old) that cracked along the top edge after servicing the pump inside a few times. Hope this one lasts a little longer. Glad this was available w/o having to buy the pump too.
