I had a small one and loved it so much I got another for a club. However the new version of the small one had a nasty, higher pitched sound plus a mallet that got stuck tightly inside it.So I decided to try the large one as there really isn't competition in this space. It sounds a lot like my old small one, just a tiny bit more bass which I like. Also you can store the mallet inside of it no problems.

I have both versions of this instrument and the large one purchased recently is not nearly as resonant as the smaller one and is harder to control re: thumb hole flutter. Still interesting though

I love this instrument. I use it to get the attention of my students when they get loud in their creativity. It saves my voice. I also love the beautiful rich blue color.
