Have to admit that I am very impressed with the build quality of this BB gun. Modeled after the Beretta 84 Chambered in .380, the dimensions of this pistol are nearly spot on. So much so that this BB Gun fits into the kydex holster I have for my Model 84. There are ergonomic differences, but I am going to chalk that up to function. The magazine release is in the exact same place, however the safety catch is where the Take Down lever on the Authentic Model is. Locating the safety where they did makes it very difficult to operate in the conventional sense. It still locks the gun up, but it's just a bit difficult to operate. having a frame or slide mounted safety would be more authentic and more ergonomic, however I understand that would have required a design challenge given the C02 system. As for function, the trigger is a long travel double action style trigger with a long reset. the trigger weight comes in at about 9lbs on my lyman gage, which is about what the real model is in DA. Now, as far as shooting performance. It will fire as rapidly as you can squeeze the trigger, although relying on the sights is going to leave you a little disappointed as the point of impact at 21 feet is approximately 7 inches down and 5 inches to the left of the point of aim. It appears that the rear sight is adjustable for windage, so that might be able to remedy at least one of those parameters. It'll take a bit of tinkering to get it right, but it should be an enjoyable training tool when done.
