I'd read in the forums that this works perfectly as a wind cover for my Audio-Technica ATH-M50x-STS headset. Sure enough, it fits perfectly over the high quality condenser mic of the m50x-STS, and helps to reduce wind noise and lip plosives, making the already excellent mic operate more effectively.Recommended!

Like a lot of people out there, I purchased a Drop + EPOS PC38X when looking for a decent gaming headset. While that headset works beautifully with audiophile-grade sounds, one of its glaring downsides was the fact that it has a somewhat-rigid boom arm for the microphone. It doesn't have a lot of adjustability like some gaming headsets out there, so not only was it difficult to get it away from your mouth (depth wise), it also didn't angle itself well (towards the mouth) depending on its pivoting (height) position. As a result, I initially encountered a lot of issues with plosives in my speech which was not the most pleasant for voice recordings or voice chat with friends. To remedy that, I moved it down (and out of the way), but then I started having issues with people being able to hear my breathing a lot more which was even worse. I played around with mic. sensitivity in both places like Windows Settings and Discord, but I couldn't get the perfect quality I was striving for. I also couldn't use any of the regular foam covers (from multiple sellers) because they were far too small. Even if I could get them on the PC38X mic., because they were being stretched, there was no depth/thickness to the foam that would block out the plosives or breathing sounds effectively, meaning they were essentially doing nothing due to being stretched so thin.Thankfully, to some kind strangers during my research, I found Compete Audio. I was debating on the L6 (this model) and the CA555 foam windscreens, but ultimately, I chose the L6, and I'm glad I did, because this thing is FANTASTIC. Granted, it's expensive for what it is, but they are WORTH every penny. These foam covers are large enough that not only do the foam covers go over the thick microphone unit of the PC38X easily, it also doesn't need to stretch to fit meaning there is some thickness/depth to the foam which can actually work to dissipate the plosives or breathing noise. The result is a much cleaner sound coming across in both recordings (via Audacity) and voice chat (via Discord and Zoom). I have not had a single complaint from friends since these foam covers were put on my PC38X, and it works exactly as intended. Because you get 6 of these per purchase, if one gets mucky over time, I like that you have plenty of spare to rely on. These didn't come all compressed and vacuum-packed flat (like certain ones on Amazon), so I was also happy about that. I can guarantee perfect fitment for the PC38X, but even for other headsets with larger microphone modules, if the regular foam/windscreens aren't doing it for you, I suggest trying these from Compete Audio first. Seriously, they are high-quality, and I find these to be completely worth the asking price. HIGHLY recommended!

I use it on the PC38X headset because it cuts out the wind noise from “P”s and “T”s. It makes the mic sound better, also fits on the PC37X

I’m a fitness instructor and the first time I ordered I received covers for a lapel mic and the second time I ordered I got a size that is bigger than I wanted but they fit my headset. I ordered based on the headset I use and still received the incorrect mic covers.
