I am the proud owner of 2 Kryptonite Keeper Locks since 2017..! check them out in the picture.I ride my bike every day recreationally and to work every day. I carry these 2 with me everywhere, and use them every day. Still, the original keys, the plastic on the lock is without a scratch, the fabric is a little faded from Florida's brutal sun, but without a rip. It took me 5 years to write this review because I wanted to see if they were worth $60 each back when I bought them..!I am sure this is the best investment I ever made for my very expensive BIKES (I also use them on my motorcycles). I am just puzzled why today (8/10/2023) these locks are less than $20 today when I paid $60 at Amazon on 01/2017 & 06/2017 respectively. Regardless, at $20 today it's a steal..!! buy them, you won't regret it. The extra weight in your back pack makes you are a stronger rider, comes in handy when I attack the hills.!!!

I have purchased many Kryptonite locks and chains in the past. (It used to be my second favorite brand after Abus). But either the factory has changed hands, or has acquired or launched a cheaper lower quality (and price) line of products, as demonstrated by this lock. 'For starters, the lock casing is already quite concerning. Big and bulky, it seems made of incredibly cheap and brittle plastic, which will not withstand a blow with a hammer or a rock. The chain, albeit heavy, does not look particularly strong, and I think anybody with a pair of thick pliers could cut it in the blink of an eye if they wanted. I'm using a second (also not the best) Master U lock to hold the frame of the bike. So I am basically counting on the person with the pliers being lazy, and going for other bikes, with perhaps equally mediocre quality, but single, locks, because at the moment, I cannot afford a proper Abus lock for my bike.

I got this earlier than expected, very sturdy lock and Chain for my ebike, , said to be a silver secure lock and Chain, I have found no big issues with it so far Chain on it has very big links about 15 cm long each link to knuckle.and pretty strong living mechanism , comes with Great little holder much like a drink bottle holder with Velcro straps to attach onto frame in various positions. . I've had no problems getting it out and replacing after unchaining. Although carrying in a backpack is very heavy . But case makes it convenient so u only have to remember to return it to its case and it's with u on the bike.Also it's Well worth regerstering it with the company for Ur guarantee ,check out the brands website they cover any manufacturing issues with the lock chain or even loosing Ur key. They are have pretty good customer serviceSo check out the site once u have yr unique key for Ur lock U can register and so on . But well worth the money for peace of mind

I returned this lock a small bolt cutter would have this lock in about 30 seconds.Small rods inside half the size of my pinky finger .You could maybe lock a tire but a would not leave a bike locked with it.

I did remove the gray outer sleeve because the lock was difficult to remove and reinstall even after spraying silicone on it to reduce friction. It's a nicely made lock at a good price. It was at the top end of an acceptable weight for my electric scooter. Any lock can be defeated even this one of course. I also added a motion alarm available fro Amazon or EBay for about $22.

I am a fan of Kryptonite locks, they make amazing products. This lock i bough particularly for my commuter bike. I wanted a nice and secure lock set as i park in the city and i often see bike parts being stolen. So instead of the U lock, i got this one so that i can secure my bike better. At the same time i wanted the option of storing it on my bike while i commute. This is the perfect lock in that sense, and the best in quality. Also the cloth covering prevents my bike from being scratched up. The part that i don't like is that it is really heavy and bulky and it is kind of difficult to get the lock back into the holder after folding it up.

this lock is good for the price. it has a metal rod that has a decent thickness to it , more so than a chain. The lock system is nice, i like the feature alot. the length is good enough for any normal lock up. Overall im happy with this unit as of right now.

This is a very strong lock, Its a little on the heavy side but Ido recommend using this lock as an addition to another lock,. Lets face it if a thief wants your bike he will find a way to get it but this lock will make the process much harder. I will say Kryptonite makes very good locks and at reasonable prices.

It's a simple chain lock. It's good for the price ($28). It's not the thickest you can find. It says on the label that it has 5/10 security rating, so it's not the safest either. Key seems to be turning easily without a problem in the lock. I ended up returning it because it's longer than I needed.
