I am between betta fish at the moment but got these training wands so I'd be ready to "play" with my new fish. These feel very high quality and you can tell they are handmade. You are not able to choose the color of fish head - I probably would have chosen something other than black for the second one. And, the heads look a little angry. The training sticks come in an artistically designed paper box. One of the sticks is a little bowed - something that quality control should probably look for. However, having a bowed stick doesn't effect the overall use of the training stick.

The colors were a little different from the listing but just slightly. They do work but the price is high. I think this is because they are hand made.

The wood is smooth and doesn’t splinter at all, and I like the length of this for a small tank. Some studies claimed that bettas can learn to recognize their owners and do tricks for them, That remains to be seen, but the kids and the fish are entertained by this so far… ! Fun gift idea for the fish owner in your life who has everything.

I never even knew these existed until I saw them on Amazon. I really enjoyed training/torturing by Beta. Just kidding. Every time he sees it, he wants to attack. We basically use these for fun and entertainment. Painted very nicely. Awesome value and will make a great gift.

I got this for my grandkids to play around with their betta fish. The kids were excited once they realized what the sticks were for. Unfortunately , the fish could care less! The kids were pretty disappointed. The sticks were round and smooth like a pencil. I'm wondering if a pencil with a add on eraser would do the same thing? Nothing.

I thought this was a cool concept. My daughter has 2 Betta fish and the mirror gets a big boring for them. Thye are both very intelligent fish. We both tried using this with both Betta...and they approached the glass and they both swam away uninterested. I think they thought we were both nuts swaying that stick around trying to get them to follow it or show some interest. A bit disappointed.
