Made out of kinda cheap plastic. Did not hold up to my 3yr old and 9yr old boys playing with it. Controller is small and got lost. Would have been good for older kids maybe.

While this toy is cool and simple. The left and right controls are switched up. I could have lived with that but the device's bucket suddenly stopped moving. It was not abused or dropped. No crack or trauma, just stopped moving. Fun while it lasted but returend due to a mechanical failure.

Perfect little construction toy for children to get hands on fun while learning. Comes with great accessorys for hours of playtime

I would not recommend this to anyone. Missing pieces no directions. Small

i got this excavator as a Christmas gift for a 6 year old. Tt first he didn't' like the toy too much as he didn't know it was radio controlled, but once he figured it was, he started to enjoy playing with it and al the various motions and actions it could do. He has a sandbox he has in his backyard that he uses often. he tried this toy in that environment and although fun, you can start to see where the durability of it won't last as long.It's possible this toy isn't intended to be used in stressed environments such as this, but the reality is boys are going to do things like this and abuse their toys. My thoughts are if this is to be used as an indoor toy, and to play around with plastic rocks then you're fine, once you take it out into the dirt, sand, mud, whatever, the kids will destroy it fairly quickly.It does serve pretty neat as an adult display toy though, the motions are pretty neat and the scale of it is fairly realistic.

I have a few kids that are absolutely obsessed with tractors, construction, equipment and anything that digs. I think they get that honest. 🥹 Their daddy’s and grandpa love them as well!Toys that are both educational and fun are extremely important to me. We have a friend that is an engineer and this little excavator will combine vital play with engineering and mechanics.This isn’t metal, but it is decent. I’m not sure how long it will withstand my 4 grandsons, but they will have many hours of fun with it while it lasts. The battery last good 45 minutes, but even after the battery needs to be plugged in, They can still play with it just as if it were not remote controlled.This is just the right size for their little hands & this kind of hand brain coordination along with all the sound effects brings a smile to my face.This item came packaged well and shipped quickly. As a mom who still has 7 year old triplets at home, has had a dozen children, and now I'm the grandmother with a house full of laughter and little footsteps, finding toys that are both educational and durable is not just preferrable, it is essential!This Excavator is a 1/22 scale construction engineering excavator truck. It is perfectly sized for little hands yet detailed enough to mimic the real deal, which is what daddy/grandpa does for a living so that's extremely important!The kids that are around the ages of 11 and under, are absolutely fascinated by its realistic movements!What sets this toy apart are the 6 activity barricades that come with it. These aren't just for show; they encourage the kids to set up their own little construction sites, which has been wonderful for their imaginative play and problem-solving skills.The rechargeable aspect is a MUST! Gone are the days of constantly replacing batteries!! I can't believe I've been raising children so long I remember those days, lol! It just takes a quick charge, or exchange of another already recharged recharge battery (available on amazon) and the excavator is ready to go again!This toy is perfect for both indoor play and outdoor adventures in the garden, the sandbox, the Beach, or at the park. As far as educational value? This Excavator is a hidden gem! The kids are learning about engineering and mechanics without even realizing it. They're so engrossed in the fun of operating the digger and navigating through their self-made obstacle courses, that when daddy/ grandkids jumps in on the play, he is able to sneak in some math lesson and life skills.So far, so durable! It's survived countless play sessions and even more than just an occasional tumble from various heights. It appear to be made both with quality materials and with quality in mind. BONUS!! I's easy to clean, which is just really nice and helps me maintain the toys so they last.There are a couple of things I suggest which don't take away from the 5 star rating. First, remember the operational complexity might be overwhelming for younger children, know your child's ability level.Secondly, as mentioned, is battery. The battery last about 45-60 minutes. And, even though it’s rechargeable, the battery life may not be sufficient for extended play sessions, which could lead to interruptions in the fun. I highly regime getting a serving battery to keep one charging.And, as with all thing mechanical, the durability of the moving parts, in my expertise and opinion only, do a lot better and last a lot monger with frequent whooping it down with a damp cloth and removing excess sand that might get caught inside joints. A blowdryer or leaf blower works quickly and perfectly.This Excavator is a hit in our home! It's an adventure seekers toy and a current favorite.I guess we will be getting more, different big equipment RC toys!
