I got this for my 5 year old for Christmas. Hanging it required us to get extra chain because it wasn't low enough from the ceiling for him to use it.The bag comes already stuffed, ready to hang and use. The material is high quality and the Spider Man details are a big hit with my kid. The boxing gloves fit him with room to grow.It's fun to play with and burn off excess energy. I think this is great for 5 year olds and up.

I hadn’t owned a punching bag before, but my son was very interested in them. He is approximately 5’3” and we hung it from a ceiling rafter in the garage so it would be the right height for him. I’m glad the inside is filled with a rubber fabric material instead of some permeable filling that might grow mildew. Since it’s in an unfinished space I was worried about it getting gross, but I don’t think that will be a problem. The rubber fabric pieces don’t seem to hold water and are very tightly packed in there. The bag itself is good quality and well made. The gloves are also well made but definitely sized for a child. My child and the neighbor fit them well. I have small hands, and they fit me but anyone over ten years old will struggle with them. The only thing I was really disappointed in was the hanging ring. That thing is struggling to hang on. I’m going to just go and replace it with a sturdier ring from the hardware store but keep that in mind when ordering. The rest of the hardware seems adequate. It took my husband maybe five minutes to get it put up. Other than the hardware issue it’s been working great. He’s getting out and hitting it for about twenty minutes at a time consistently. He really enjoys it and it’s a good workout. I was looking for something to get him out and exercising. It can be hard to find activities that kids will stick to, so I’m glad this is working.

This set was great for my 5 year old and his grandpa who wanted to teach him some boxing skills. My son is sort of a very gentle kid so I don't mind if he develops some boxing skills. My 2 year old on the other hand is sort of rough and he already gets in trouble for hitting others so it's not something I want him using.

It's a great bag if you want a light workout or if your kids are into martial arts. It's incredibly compact at just 2 feet and fits in tight spaces if it's not going to have too much swing on it from being hit. The gloves are a perfect fit for my 10 year old daughter and they're quite easy to put on. Be sure to have something to hang it from because it only comes with the carabiner to connect to a strap and not a hanging strap itself.
