Keychron V3 QMK/VIA Custom Mechanical Keyboard
The Keychron V3 is a fully customizable mechanical keyboard with QMK/VIA support. Anyone can intuitively master any keyboard keys or macro commands through the VIA software. The V3 is designed to be able to assemble easily, so you can customize the hardware and software with endless possibilities.
Hot-swappable
The pre-lubed Keychron K Pro mechanical switches come with an optimized mold with more precise positioning, and less wobbliness will certainly improve your fingertip feel. The Keychron switch is durable enough with unrivaled tactile responsiveness on the tactile brown switch and up to 50 million keystroke lifespan.
The hot-swappable sockets supports both 3 pin and 5 pin MX mechanical switches (including Cherry, Gateron, Kailh, Panda, etc.), so you can customize your favorite switches without soldering.
Program Each Key and Macro with QMK/VIA
Simply connect the V3 to your device with a cable, import the V3 keymap JSON file into the VIA software, drag and drop your favorite keys or macro commands to remap any key you want on macOS, Windows, or Linux operating systems, e.g.: create a macro command of a screenshot on macOS. Check our user guide or user manual for more instructions.
A brand new ultra-low-power Arm Cortex-M4 32-bit STM32L432 MCU which is powerful, and armed with 128K Flash will provide more flexibility for developers.
All New Screw-In PCB Stabilizers
The screw-in design increases stability and makes it easier for changes and upgrades. Precise craftsmanship makes the stabilizers more stable and less wobbly. The big keys’ typing experience is now more stable and smooth. The Keychron V3 also supports third-party stabilizers including Cherry or Durock.
Wired Connectivity
A reliable USB Type-C wired connection with 1000 Hz polling rate and NKRO make sure you won't miss a beat no matter cranking out emails or code.
Note: Please avoid connecting the V3 with a laptop through a hub to ensure enough power supply. For the same reason, please turn off the keyboard backlight if the V3 is connecting with a tablet.
PBT Keycaps & South-facing RGB
The south-facing RGB is designed to better illuminate the keyboard backlight from the typist’s angle and free from interference when the user installs Cherry-profile alternative keycaps on the V3.
The V3 comes with our unique OSA profile (OEM profile with spherical-angle) and double-shot PBT keycaps that aim to provide a more comfortable and subtle fingertip feel with excellent oil resistance for long-term use.

I've used mechanical keyboards before (Filco 2, Filco 3) but I wanted to try a customizable one. I listed all the characteristics I would want in an ideal keyboard and made a long list. I looked around and realized I wouldn't be able to find the perfect keyboard that satisfied everything I wanted, but this Keychron V3 comes very close.My requirements were:1. Wired (I rarely use keyboard from a distance and wanted to avoid wireless issues - this proved wise as QMK doesn't officially support wireless, and many Keychrons have had chattering issues on wireless with NKRO turned on)2. TKL (tenkeyless) layout (all keys needed for gaming, yet portable)3. Standard layout without a knob (I'm used to the standard placement of function keys)4. No gasket mount (I prefer firm keyboards)5. Hot-swappableAfter researching dozens of options, this Keychron V3 was my only remaining option.The keyboard successfully allowed me to customize it in many ways. The build is solid, the stock switches are smooth and consistent, and the key caps look nice (though slightly taller than usual). The QMK/VIA functionality is amazing - I programmed my own debouncing logic and flashed it onto the PCB. Just recently, I replaced the switches with Gateron G Pro 3 Silvers and keycaps with ePBT Creative Studio. The one downside was that many of the stock switches were impossible to pull out. I had to resort to disassembling the keyboard to take them out. I appreciated the fact that the keyboard was designed to be disassembled easily, but it was a lot of work just to replace switches.I've been using it as my main driver for a week and a half now, and I love this keyboard!

Can you really go wrong with Keychron? It's a sturdy board, generally pretty good keycaps and great lubed brown switches (all stock).The only thing I will say, the stabilizers for the space bar are a little wobbly making it 'squeak' every so often. I haven't played with it too much yet but it's something to note.For most people this is a fantastic keyboard and it is easily modded to fit your customization needs. It is a bit of a bummer that it's not aluminum but you didn't buy the V3 because you could afford an aluminum keyboard.10/10 would recommend

I use this for gaming almost exclusively. In less than a year, my left shift key is going out. Battery life is fine. If I keep it connected with USB, once it is charged, it will make a high pitched whine I cannot make go away or ignore. It also drops Bluetooth connection randomly. My PC Antenna is right next to all my devices and none of my other Logitech & RAZOR accessories never drop.Aside from that, it’s been good. I like flat keys to type and I feel more accurate and faster. Good clicky noises and very good looking RGB. And I use Mac & PC, have a keyboard to easily move between all my devices is a big bonus.

The thing is heavy and feels reassuringly solid. Compared to the Logitech G413 TKL SE it's replacing, the keys have a fairly light action and make a modest, fairly quiet, well damped clicking sound. They don't wobble much either. Feels noticeably more premium than the Logitech keyboard. It looks really good too.Also, the keycaps are nicely shaped and it's easy to move your fingers around and type on them. The Logitech keycaps almost hurt by comparison with their raised edges.I had a similar experience with Keychron's own basic C1 keyboard, so I'd say the V3 would make a nice upgrade from (or in lieu of) an entry-level mechanical keyboard. Definitely worth the small extra cost, in my opinion.My only con is the absolutely stupid, useless, childish RGB so-called backlighting that doesn't actually shine through and illuminate the keycap legends! Absolutely useless. Made me mad. So if you need an actual backlit keyboard, this keyboard won't work for you. I guess gamers like tacky, gaudy RGB lighting. I think it's a waste of money. Fortunately, the lighting can be disabled.

If you're really into how your mechanical keyboard sounds, this one might need some modding to get it how you like it. Stock out of the box, it sounds kind of clacky, but I wanted a silent keyboard anyway and replaced the switches. Now it's perfect for me.
