The only wheel that is of any use is the white finish buff. The yellow, orange, and blue wheels are worthless. They are so hard they do damage. As for the clays, they are so hard you can't use them. I ordered two sets to be sure I had plenty.Everything went into the trash except the white wheels. Chinese garbage !

I got this for polishing some aluminum on a car project, but I'm also going to try freshening up a chrome bumper. The different stiffnesses are color coded which I like. Using a variable speed rotary polisher I didn't have any issues with strings flying off, except for when I hit a couple sharp edges by accident. The 8" size gets the job done on medium sized surfaces, but you'll need smaller wheels or cones to get in a lot of tight spots.

Buffing wheels look great . I have not used them yet. Would have given a higher rating they arrived 3 days late.

I have a separate buffing wheel kit for vehicles however for any other small projects this kit makes it an absolute breeze! Easily fits on too much tool and barely put any wear on them with the couple of very small projects I have used them on so far. I plan to use them on a set of wheels as well which I'm sure will work great all the same and get them shining like never before! I don't recommend just anybody try to do this if you're working on something expensive so definitely try it on something less important with the same type of surface so you don't mess up your project. Highly recommended none the less!! If you have experience then you already know the deal.

To use this I think you should have an angle grinder with 5/8 inch arbor and variable speed. There's mention of using it with a drill, but I don't know how it would be attached. Then just put the wheels on and polish according to the instructions in the advertisement. Pick up the compound on the wheel, then put it down on the surface you're polishing. You get plenty of compound, more than with some of the other similar buffing wheel sets. The wheels should be durable, with 16 layers of cloth. There's an extra collar around where the cloth is joined to the metal, making for a smooth surface. The unit did not come with printed instructions, either for mounting on your angle grinder or for use, so you might want to take a screenshot of the recommendations for using the different wheels and compounds.
