Your cart is empty.The Johnson Control's A421 digital temperature controller is great for the brewers kegerator or keezer. You can use this to keep your beer or wine at exactly the temperature you like it. Excellent for fermenting lagers as well. The A421 Series controls are single stage, electronic temperature controls with a single-pole, double-throw (SPDT) output relay. The controls feature an adjustable backlit LCD for viewing the temperature and status of other functions, and a three-button touchpad for setup and adjustment. An LED indicates the On/Off status of the output relay. The A421 control is 120 VAC. The A421 controls provide heating or cooling control, sensor offset, temperature setback, adjustable anti-short cycle delay, and a restricted user adjustment mode. The temperature units can be displayed in °F or °C. The temperature adjustment range is -40 to 212°F or -40 to 100°C. The A421 automatically changes from heating and cooling.

I use the Johnson control to convert a small chest freezer to outdoor refrigerator in my outdoor kitchen. Easy to adjust temperature. Able Dial in perfect temperature to have slushy beer when opening.

The unit works flawlessly. Converted my Arctic King chest freezer into a Chest refrigerator at a constant 36 degrees. Success was by Trial & Error over. Several Days. I NEVER Figured out the insructions worded and written by an Electrical Engineer with an advanced degree. DEFINATELY BUY this unit. FLAWLESS Operation.

I'm on my third one of these controllers for my chest fridge, which will tell you something. However each replacement I order has been upgraded and improved and lasts longer than the previous one. This one has a great digital display. The coil is a nice thick rubber? or plastic? of some sort. Sturdy.Very easy to use, even with no knowledge of electronics. Keeps my chest fridge temperature accurately within my chosen range.The simplicity, affordability, and extremely low energy use of the whole system (temperature regulator plus chest freezer) even convinced my husband that our next fridge will also be a chest fridge.

Perfect for energizing the heat-wrap on beer fermenter. Well made, solid, reliable, worry free. Instructions were a bit of a challa but after using the control a bit, became clearer to understand then made better sense.I would certainly buy this again.

This is exactly what I needed to set up my chest freezer-kegerator. I accidentally threw out the instructions when I was cleaning up all the boxes for the keg system, but quickly found an instructional video online to help with setup. I didn’t bother going into the advanced options, just low temp, high temp, and cycle delay.Its worth the extra money for plug-n-play!

Fast delivery, and this controller does everything but the dishes after dinner. Not necessarily intuitive to program, but with a little patience while reading the instructions, it is not rocket surgery. Nice features include an automatic start delay (in case you use it to control a refrigeration compressor), advanced programming access that is NOT intuitive (to keep little hands from screwing up what you programmed), and a restricted programming jumper (takes some disassembly to change) as double insurance against the uninformed changing the controller program. LOVE IT!

I am using this to convert my chest freezer into a kegerator and it works awesome. It keeps the temp within 2 degrees of what I have it set to. I have not had any issues with it thus far. It is a little more expensive than other control units, but it is definitely worth the money.
