Collet needed to be shortened in the back to clamp burs. Burs don't run truly round. No spare collets available from Jet. No 3mm collets available.

Because the retaining collar does not evenly grip bits as it is tightened down the bits spin independently when tool is run. The bits will run out of tool or fall into tool as your using it.

The collet will not tighten on a 1/8" bit as designed. This was mentioned in another comment. You can however make the collet work by making a small adjustment. The collet is 1/32" to long and bottoming out on the inner seat. Grind that down until you are able to tighten the collet enough to hold the bit. Don't get greedy and take too much off. This is what I did, not responsible for your modifications.

The collet won’t close up enough to use any of my toolingI know it’s not all my burrs and stones since they all work in my other pencil grinder and in both foredom tools and all my dremmelsIf I need to use this will have to buy oversized shank tooling
