I bought one of these Ingear sun shirts in St Thomas after getting sunburned on a cruise vacation. This was the best purchase of the week! After vacation I bought several more for family. We wear them in the water all summer. They are very light and breathable. Even while swimming they are comfortable. I especially love the thumb holes and hood. They provide amazing coverage and we get lots of compliments. I can’t imagine a trip to the beach without these!

Comment: I need to add an update here. This is an outstanding, and upstanding company. I had ordered a previous different color and I picked Ingear because they had everything I wanted. Lightweight, Dri Fit, SPF 50, long sleeve, kangaroo pocket, and hoodie with a drawstring... Well my first one did not have the drawstring, I could use a lot of different things like a shoelace. I decided to get a hold of them and see what they recommended. I would have been fine if they said sorry the string is on you, HOWEVER they called me back on Saturday morning and said we'll make it right and send a replacement on Monday. I said just send the string, I only need the string, don't send the whole thing, just the string! In Tuesday's mail I received an entire replacement.I bought a Corona Cancun hoodie in the grocery store in Cancun because I needed complete Sun protection during an eight hour snorkeling trip I was doing. It worked so well I wanted another. I spent hours scouring the Internet and finally found it here. Ingear must be the manufacturer of the one I originally bought in Mexico. It is an excellent product and perfect for wearing while swimming for Sun protection, or under a shirt if you want a little more warmth.

Bought one for myself to try it and didn't want to pay an exorbitant price for something claiming to be a softer option. (Didn't make sense to me because these are traditionally a beach or fishing water sport style shirt who worries about softer).Now my body runs hot always has and for me this will get too hot over 80° outside temp unless I'm in the pool or lake. (Great for that or a cover up for the girls).Wearing this has given me a way to be out in the sun without burning my skin, also no spray goop that sweats off and leaves your skin vulnerable.This is a great SPF 50 hoodie, well made, good value for the money. Looks good and is lightweight with thumb holes and a quality drawstring for the hood.Bought specifically for the kangaroo pouch to help when your hands are full....I also purchased one for my son which he wears to jog in and he can carry a couple water bottles now. His medium size fits better than the more expensive one he already owns....Buy one for yourself and every member of your family.....

Used for painting outdoors to stop getting sunburnt so I don’t have to apply sunscreen on my arms and then get covered in dust sticking to it.

Update: since my original review I now have 6-7 of these but im now getting more of the mediums. I just ordered another one and they sent me a small but I had too much confidence in the packer/seller that I didn’t check and already washed it. Ok too late to return. Check that you got what you ordered.I’m 5’6”. 162lbs. Athletic muscular. Small fits me better in length and is snug on the arms, chest and upper back. Good for running when it’s a little chilly. Material doesn’t chaff or retain heat. I also have a medium which is a little long but is loose enough where the material kind of “flows” but isn’t baggy. Better for being in the sun as there is room for air flow. I bought 2 med and 3 small in different colors.

This fits a bit small so order the next size up. My husband is 5 foot 9 and 150 lbs we ordered the extra large and it is a good fit. Not terribly long in the body so if you are long waisted this may not be the shirt for you. It did have a little pull/run where the hood met the body of the shirt but we are still happy with it overall. It was also delivered to my neighbour but they brought it over to me.

With a pandemic I ended up being able to telecommute from home. I live on four acres of Southern Arizona desert so I've been able to get outside a lot during the day to get small chores done between meetings and teleconferences. As we've had a scorching summer, I reverted to shorts, long sleeve shirts, Chacos and a Henschel hat (see review). I got the idea of picking up a sun shirt with a hood for working outside. That way if for some reason I wanted to wear a ball cap or just didn't have a hat with me that second, I could just throw my hood on to go outside for a few minutes. Worked beautifully!I ordered two other versions first before I found these. The first two ended up being a little thicker than I liked but they were still very comfortable and good quality. You can see my reviews on those. I also discovered that I wanted a kangaroo pocket. I now have two shirts from this brand (blue and tan) and two shirts from another, all with the kangaroo pockets. This brand shirts are definitely the lightest weight of the lot and are my go-to for the hottest days. These also have the thumb holes at the end of the sleeves. As long as I'm not doing hard work with my hands I can keep them covered from the sun.I ordered Large. I am 5ft 10in (70") and 183 lb. While not in great shape I am not overweight either. These are a tad bit looser fitting than the other brand. Not an issue for me but just wanted to put that out there. And I'm not sure if it's a difference in the material or what but my blue shirt has been much more durable. The tan one had stitching come loose on the kangaroo pocket after the first washing. I was able to tie off the loose threads to prevent any further unraveling.Overall, well worth the money if you need a lightweight Sun shirt that dries quickly.
