This is my second set over the past three years. The first set, left side decided to tear a bit when I removed them this past Spring. That was my fault, not the design or build quality of the lowers. Knowing I'm coming back into Fall and Winter, I needed another left side. Since you can't purchase just one side, I had to purchase another set. I love these lowers. They work as designed, easy to install and remove, look very nice on my Chieftain and they keep the cool/cold wind off my legs for 20 to 30 degree weather. I like hard lowers and have had them over the years on my other bikes. While those work great all year around, I want something I can remove and not feel guilty about spending $180 for these verses painted factory lowers at $1,000 plus. At the hard lower prices, I really didn't want to remove them...lot of money just sitting in the garage. These work, look good and are just what you need on those cool/cold Fall, Winter and early Spring days. You can find less expensive aftermarket/knockoffs but these with the Indian motorcycle logo are the way to go. I do have a few non factory after market items but OEM and factory parts are the better option (fit and finish) in my opinion.
