When I ordered this, I was looking for a carrier for deviled eggs. Something that would keep them fresher for a little while in the refrigerator as well. I had seen some before, but the ones I was interested in were no longer available. My family and I all love deviled eggs. My daughter and I both make them regularly and my youngest granddaughter would try to eat the whole plate by herself. This is just a cute way to serve them if you’re having a get together Just put fresh eggs in it for display. I was trying to think you know what would I put in the middle with all these deviled eggs and then I thought I could put the egg salad in it that could be put on crackers maybe or just make a sandwich. Another option is put something decorative there. If you’re having a huge get together, I don’t know that this would be enough for the amount of eggs you would want to serve, but if it’s your family or maybe your family and just a few friends then this is great.. aesthetically speaking it appeals to me because I know it will fit in with my style. That’s something I take pride in if I could change one thing they would’ve made this thing with a cover I feel that way about about every deviled egg serving dish I see that. I keep thinking last summer I went to a picnic and the food was out and flies. Were all over everything. With a cover that wouldn’t have been a concern. I suspect that most serving plates like this do not have a lid. It’s very pretty ceramic plate that sits most of my needs. It is very much my style.
