I love the sleek design as had one like it for many years. Keeps tea hot, washes easily, pours easily and is lovely to look at!

I usually like Ikea products, but this feels like they did zero R&D on this one.Normally on something like this the lip of the pitcher would slope towards the neck of the bottle so that over-pour or splashing and dribbles will drip back into the flask. This has zero slope. Worse the lip goes straight down into the pitcher and stops at a flat ledge about an inch wide that the bottleneck is set into. so you have a flat inch-wide platform surrounding the bottleneck that catches and pools anything that doesn't go exactly down the bottleneck. And when you're pouring that same ledge catches the dribble as well, so unless you completely uncap the flash and wipe off that ledge after every pour your coffee or tea is going to puddle around the stopper and just dry it shut like glue instead of dripping back into the flask. The other really bid design oversight is how smooth the stopper is. If you fill this up and close it while hot and don't open it again soon, as predicted you get a nice tight vacuum seal. The trouble then is getting it open, because that stopper is perfectly smooth and perfectly round, and does NOT want to budge. You'll need the industrial jar gripper to get at the goodies inside. Both of these are immediately obvious from the first use, so Ikea really botched this one. It's really not a useful product given what a mess it is and how difficult it is to use for its intended purpose.. Upside I've had none of the glass breakage other reviews have described

I like this a lot, the right size, nice slender design. But I found it hard to open the lid to pour the coffee. It is too slippery to get a good grip, would be better with some texture to get hold of. But I now keep a rubber band on around the lid and that gives me the right grip to open it easily. In case this helps someone else.

This is a thermos that looks elegant and keeps liquids hot for several hours. I highly recommend it.

I wanted a carafe that could hold one pot of coffee and while I brew another. We drink a lot of coffee.I found the directions and rinsed it out with very hot water before putting carafe of fresh coffee in there and it leaks from the bottom out of one of the two little tiny holes on the bottom. It's absolutely beautiful to look at holds a lot but it leaks.

I take this with me to work every night with my favorite coffee made just the way I like it. I work 13 hour shifts and my coffee is just as hot when I'm done with my shift as it was when I poured it in. I have used this with hot water to make tea and It again stayed hot all night. I recently took a trip that was 16 hours away and it didn't disappoint. It travels well, looks great, pours nicely, I'm sure I'll be ordering another one.

Keeps liquids hot for hours. Tea was still warm-ish after 16 hours. Stopper has to be removed completely to pour. Not a biggie. Taller than my kitchen faucet, but could be maneuvered under it for cleaning.

The Carafe is easy to use and easy to clean. My only complaint is that water is able to enter the inside of the outer body of the carafe so you will have water accumulating between the glass liner and the body of the carafe. It is annoying and I believe that water will lower the temperature of the liquid inside the carafe. The problem seems to be the result of leaving the unit in the sink while washing dishes and a water level rise in the sink led to water seeping into the bottom of the carafe where is not tightly sealed. I was able to get it to drain out over time by periodically filling with hot water and placing the unit on paper towels to absorb any liquid that drained out. I now know not to put the unit in the sink

Using this for about a month and like it but read on for what may be subjective comments.Pros:Glass Interior - My personal preference, my prior carafe was glass.Tall and thin - easier to store in kitchen garage with other itemsSimplicity/Cleaning - Carafe and screw top (that's it) - all areas are accessible for cleaning, no buttons or pour spouts that you can't get to for cleaning or breaking.Cons:Heat Retention - No official measurement but 2 - 4 hours is what I'm experiencing. NOTE: I do NOT preheat the carafe by pouring hot water into it so your mileage may vary. I start with a brewed pot and after a couple of cups can move the rest to the carafe which I drink in the AM.NOTE: You can purchase this unit at Ikea for $5 so if you have one close you may wish to swing by and pick up directly. I don't so Prime purchase was A-OK with me.
