The bracket mounts easily on to the air vent and stays in place. Adjustment us good too, however the gap for the radio belt clip is too narrow for the major quality brands (Yaesu, Icom, Kenwood) which is a real shame. To solve this a "spacer" would be required on either side of the frontplate, or use nylon/plastic washers.

I thought this was the solution to my problem until it pulled one of the flanges off my a/c vent after being installed less than one day. This product may work for lighter radios or other electronics, but I think the Baofeng radio (with the extended battery) is a little too heavy to be hanging on an a/c vent.

I really like this thing, easy to install, take the weight off you meaning, sitting with radio on you belt, you can clip it on this, you can use you hand radio as a base radio in the car hooked up on this. Is you have a vent on dashboard, it will work. Like it!! Thanks

I generally find vent clips don't work well, but this one is excellent. Couldn't find any other solution for mounting my Baofeng radio in my truck but this did the trick!
