Had to remove old starter gear then installed one that came with it and fired right up first pull.

I needed this unit for my Husqvarna backpack blower which had a broken spring in the old pull start. I just replaced the whole unit and carefully removed the Husqvarna sticker from the old one and glued it on this one. All I needed was a screwdriver. It’s made just like the OEM. Nice price,too.

I know it says it fits in the description, but just wanted to verify that it does indeed fit. No problems with the install, back to business with the backpack blower.

Construction is comparable to the OEM Husqvarna part for less money. Installed easily, 4 machine screws, wiggle the old one out, and pop the new one in. I opted to leave the new starter claw off and kept the original Husqvarna part in place as there was no damage or wear to that part. No issues after a few weeks of use with the HURI pull starter and Husqvarna starter claw.

Update. I purchased one of these last summer for my husqvarna back pack blower. It worked great for a few months. Just purchased a second one. I figured it cheaper then spending $400 on a new blower. Granted I use the blower all the time for work.
