I have only had this for one day, but I am very impressed with this keyboard case! The keys respond very well (using it for this review!)! Kick stand is great. Really like the portrait option. The only thing that could be improved is the magnet strength, specifically the ones that hold the keyboard cover closed. It will fall open if tilted. Size wise, I do not find it bulky at all and I actually like how it makes the iPad feel protected. Great item!

Types well, however multiple keys are popping off spontaneously and not reattaching .

Its perfect in every way. The case itself is fantastic, feels good and high quality, stand works very well and feels good. Not heavy or bulky at all. The keyboard is excellent and high quality. 100% recommend this case.

I have tried many iPad Mini keyboard cases and until Apple release a Magic Keyboard for the Mini, which they won’t, this is about as close to perfect as possible. It is very light in weight. Keys are backlit. Has function keys. It has no trackpad, but I have found I really don’t need one on the Mini. I love that the keyboard separates from the Mini. I love that the Mini is in a case. This evens works fairly well sitting on a pillow on your lap.

First off, I’m not a bot, fake promoter or being paid and I rarely write reviews.I have only been using this keyboard for a few hours and am so impressed that I wanted to share my opinion. I have been using another keyboard case for the last few years, it served its purpose but I wasn’t impressed. No back lighting and had to use the function key way too much. Yea this key board is small, what would you expect, it’s for a Mini! While small it is highly functional and the keys are very responsive. The case around the mini is nice, not to grippy and appears just as protective as my other one. Pen holds firmly in place. Can’t speak to battery life as I just got it. Oh the stand is outstanding! If you’re a mini lover like I am, I highly recommend this keyboard case!

After reading a few reviews of this keyboard and case combo for the iPad mini 6/7, I figured to give it a shot. I didn't really buy it for the keyboard, since I knew typing on a keyboard the size of an iPad mini was never going to be an amazing experience, but I heard rave reviews about its kickstand. This is indeed the case (har har) — the kickstand is superb here, probably the best I have ever tried on any iPad case, ever. It feels substantial and that it will stand the test of time. I was so tired of using Apple's smart folio case and my iPad mini would constantly topple over because of how flimsy it would be, in propping itself up on the side. With this case on, you have a very secure as well as wide range of angles to keep your iPad mini held up from. This works in both landscape and portrait ratios/modes. I like that when in the vertical mode you can have the usb C port facing upwards, thus allowing for you to easily charge the iPad.Unfortunately this exposed my biggest complaint with the case combo, I think I audibly said OH NO when I made this discovery. Because it is so thick and because it has such precise cut outs to the ports, buttons and speaker grills, there is a very small area from which you can plug in your charger. Neither of my long usb C charging cables that I typically have used for my iPads would fit (by Native Union and Satechi, which I included in photos). I did find a different cable that fit, but now I have to use a much shorter cable. If I'm out and about, who knows if the cable I happen to borrow from someone will fit.Another suggestion I would make is that it would be great to include, even at a higher price, a simple cover that you can optionally use to protect front of the iPad if you don't currently want to use the keyboard. The product is marketing for being multi-use, which it is. I.E. you can use it with the keyboard either magnetically attached or separated, use the iPad mini by itself for drawing, read with the iPad standing in a vertical position with the kickstand, etc. However, you can't travel or transport the iPad mini without using the keyboard as the front cover of the case. Once you have both parts of the case magnetically clad around your iPad mini... let's just say it isn't so mini any longer. It's never heavy per se, but it does take on more of the feeling of carrying around a diary, as someone else pointed out. Since the case's back cover kick stand is so good, I can see a lot of people (myself included) not buying this for the keyboard. So, that's why I would suggest the option of including a simplified front cover.Additional pluses, which I should mention as many others have already, include the high quality of materials used throughout. The quality of the materials as well as general craftsmanship are of a very, very high quality. They aren't far off of what you would expect from Apple. The cutouts for the buttons and speaker grills of the iPad mini are extremely precise. Even the manual that comes in the box is quite well made, it's much better than you would typically expect from a product like this. It is very clear that the company that made it went the extra mile to create something special. If the cutout around the usb C port were just a smidge larger, to allow for more usb C cables to work (fit) as well as the option to include a simplified front cover to the case, instead of always needing to use the full keyboard around, I would say that this is truly THE case for the iPad mini 6/7, perfected.

I know, it’s for a Mini BUT, the keyboard really is so tiny. It’s great for compact use and needing an easy way to type, but don’t plan on this being your norm if you’re a normal size human.

This is a well designed keyboard cover that I found well designed, although it has some drawbacks. Here are my thoughts. The good:- Even though it's very difficult to fit a keyboard into the footprint of a tablet this size, and it inherently requires some compromises, I found that they did a good job with it. All the letters and numbers get their normal keys, and it's only some brackets and symbols that require special key combos to type.- The tactile feel of the keyboard is actually pretty good for a keyboard with a slim profile. I found it comfortable to type on, after getting used to the unusual arrangement of some keys.- The way that the keyboard part attaches magnetically and then can flip around so that it you can use the tablet without the keyboard is nice. I especially like the fact that the keyboard sort of turns itself off when behind the tablet and not being used. This is especially thoughtful because it means the on-screen keyboard will show up and can be used like normal. I appreciate this kind of thoughtfulness when it comes to product design. The not so good:- The backlight feature is a bit of a miss for me. I feel like they didn't make the keys transparent enough, because it seemed to light up the rounded square around the keys much more so than the letters of the keys themselves. But lighting up the borders of the keys doesn't help you see the letters better. Still, it works fine in low light despite this minor flaw.- The whole thing feels a little bulky. It's hard to make a keyboard case like this any slimmer, so I don't exactly fault them for it, but just keep in mind that your iPad Mini might not feel that mini anymore.Current title: HOU Keyboard Case for iPad Mini 6 2021 8.3", Ultra Slim Folio Type of Keyboard, Magnetic Detachable, Multi-Angle, Full Edge Protective Cover, 6-Row Keypad, 7-Color BacklitMy rating system: 5 stars = performs as expected, 4 stars = small flaws, 3 stars = major flaws, 2 stars = barely usable, 1 star = trash

This keyboard-case combo looks great and functions well. It connects to the iPad via Bluetooth, and the iOS battery widget can detect the battery percentage of the rechargeable keyboard if needed. The iPad case can be magnetically secured to the keyboard in landscape orientation or separated so that the iPad can stand freely in either landscape or portrait mode. The fold-out kickstand offers a variety of viewing angles, feels sturdy and performs its function well. The case fits the iPad perfectly, with all the buttons easy to click and the charging port accessible. The camera and speaker cutouts are precise and aligned. The pencil holder allows for easy placement and retrieval of the pencil, and the pencil charges when seated. The keys on the keyboard work great, not too firm or loose, kind of in the middle allowing for a confident feel when typing. Keep in mind this keyboard has a shorter length vs. a standard keyboard, and myself having larger hands, felt comfortable when typing for short durations. If I was typing for long periods, it might start to feel a little crammed, but the trade-off in portability would often be worth it. The back lighting on the keyboard works amazing in the dark, allowing you to cycle through different colors and brightness, it can also be turned off.The extra function keys across the top of the keyboard are super convenient, offering easy access to some common functions such as screen brightness, search, dictation, Siri, screen lock, as well as your common multimedia functions, including; previous, play/pause, next, mute and volume.I’ve had no issues with the case or keyboard. It allows for a screen protector to be installed without interfering. The texture has just the right amount of grippiness to help prevent it from sliding out of your hands while carrying, and to keep it put on a tabletop while typing. Overall, it is my go-to choice for an enhanced iPad experience; compact, versatile and good build quality.

I recently ordered this keyboard case for my iPad Mini 6 as my old case was wearing out! Note that this case is only suitable for models A2567, A2568, A2569.Here are my thoughts on the product:Set-up and Connectivity:- Quick Bluetooth Connection: Pairing the keyboard with my iPad was a breeze. It connected quickly and easily.- Clear Instructions: The instruction manual is clear and helpful, explaining all the keyboard functions and shortcuts.- Great Typing Experience: The keys are sturdy, responsive, and have a backlight useful for working in dimmer settings.Usability:- Weight and thickness: The case weighs 0.78lb and is 0.19 thick. With the iPad, it feels significantly heavier and thicker than I expected, which I don't love.- Quick Charging: The keyboard takes about 2 hours to fully charge, and the battery lasts a good while.- Strong magnetic attachments: The keyboard attaches to the case with magnets, so you can use it separately if you want. It has a pretty strong hold to ensure the keyboard doesn't fall off.- Secure Closure: The keyboard acts as a cover and closes securely with magnets. Just be aware it can leave faint marks on the screen, so a screen protector might be a good idea.Fit and Finish:- Just Right: This case fits the iPad Mini 6 perfectly. No wiggle room, just snug and secure.- Apple Pencil Holder: There's a neat spot on the side for your Apple Pencil. It magnetically sticks there, so it’s always handy.- Matte Leathery Finish: The case has a stylish matte, leathery look. It does attract a bit of dust, but it’s easy to clean and water-resistant.- Some Glue Residue: There was a little glue residue on the seams of the stand at the back, but it’s not a big issue.- Looks just like the pictures! This product would be great for people who work out of their iPad mini. It’s stylish, and functional, and makes typing on the go much easier. If you can overlook its increased weight and thickness and maybe leave some marks on the screen, I recommend it!

I was very hopeful for this one. I have tried many keyboard cases for the mini 6 and I thought this one is finally offering the best solution. It does not.1) The case part is very heavy. Even when detached from the keyboard, it is no longer an easily holdable ipad mini. This defeats the purpose of having the mini over other larger ipads. On top, making it thicker. Again, defeating the purpose.2) The keys are not very responsive. You need to press hard enough each time to make sure you write what you intend. This makes the typing experience unnatural (and also slow).3) Magnetic attachment is very loose. Because of this, the keyboard drops off easily and this forces you to use the keyboard only on a flat surface (e.g., on a desk).4) Bluetooth connection is not very reliable (especially when you turn off and on your bluetooth on the ipad). And More: The material used for the keyboard is a dust magnet. After couple uses, it is covered with dust and the keys collect grease like no other. In sum: Avoid.

The HOU keyboard case is sleek, durable and comfortable to use. It comes in an attractive and giftable retail box. It is a nice accessory that combines a sleek design with practical functionality for iPad. The case has a slim and sleek professional appearance and is very lightweight. It feels pretty sturdy so it should be able to last for a while. The keyboard itself is great, offering a comfortable typing experience with well-spaced keys and responsive feedback. The adjustable angle feature allows for convenient viewing and typing positions, adapting to individual preferences.I like the magnetic charging, which eliminates the hassle of frequent cable connections. The case securely attaches to my iPad, providing reliable protection against scratches and bumps. On the downside, this case doesn't have a trackpad which might be a deal breaker for some. But overall, this is a stylish and comfortable keyboard case at a good price. Full marks from me!

This keyboard case is especially good for the size and the layout is much better than the keyboard in the "HOU ultra slim folio case" (longer spacebar, less keys where yo need to use "option" key to reach the "3rd option"). This keyboard also has a very useful function row and USB C charging. The kickstand is great for typing angles AND for portrait viewing (good for FaceTime, some typing). Overall kickstand is also better than the HOU ultra slim folio. Only downside is the thickness and weight. The ultra slim folio is nearly indistinguishable from a regular folio cover and yet is has a keyboard. While not heavy, this has a thin case around the iPad (nice feel, takes more purpose to use Touch ID) which offers protection. The combined thickness of the case and keyboard is noticeable, but not bulky. For now, I'm keeping this case and already sent ultra slim folio back because of the keyboard. If HOU was to update the keyboard on the Ultra Slim Folio to this layout, it would likely be my pick.
