Not my favorite pinion gear but it will do the job. My opinion? Go mod 1.5 and gear the heck out of it. My personal opionion? Why beat around the bush and waste your money with the 1.0? You'll be glad you went to the next step 100 percent guaranteed.

Apparently the hot racing spur gear is made of way better metal than this pinion. The pinion only lasted a few runs. Robinson racing makes a much better pinion.

Heard great things about Hotracing gears. Purchased this gear and had it in for less than 10 minutes before it stripped out and it also ruined my Spur Gear. Never again.

ALL GOOD for me. Iām using this in my Traxxas Xmaxx 8s with the gds 50t mod1 spur. Set mesh manually.

This was a replacement/ upgrade for my xmaxx 8s paired with the hot racing 50 tooth spur for little higher top speed. I kept exploding the stock ones . So far these are holding up well after about 3 full runs using up 2 sets of 6700 mah lipos 8s each time . Only time will tell how long they will last but like I said so far so good.

Great product. Used this on a nitro to brushless conversion on 1/8 scale road car. Holding up well.

Set screw would not keep it on. So my pinion strip .
