These boards are fairly thin and put together in “pieces” for lack of a better word. This means that they split easily from short end to short end. I contacted Amazon Customer Service and they are having me box this one up and are sending me a new box, however this is half-way through already getting these things in my pantry, so be sure to check all of your boards before installing any. I will say that at $100, these are not worth it, and if I were more handy or less desperate to organize this pantry space, I would simply have returned them. The 2 stars is for the excellent customer service I received from Amazon.
