The ease of assembly and drilled holes were fine, my husband built this for me and he said it was a simple build. It is a very sturdy cabinet and I think it is very function. So, truth be told, I use this as a coffee bar at work. I work with students and they love it. The big drawer that would be a filing drawer we use to store coffee supplies. On the top of this cabinet I have a single k cup kerig machine and a small microwave. I love it so much. The LEDs are weirdly angled and so we didn't even install those. I also don't lock this so I cannot speak to that feature. I put a trashcan where your legs would go, that little platform with rolling wheels. Overall, I am super happy with this cabinet.
