I used this to replace the broken starter assembly on a log splitter. The old one was an original so it was really old. I was able to install it in just a matter of minutes and it worked really well.The only "fault" was that the cord is very long compared to the old one. It's actually a win because you have more opportunity to start the motor.

I have a log splitter with a Honda engine and broke the pull cord housing. This was a perfect fit and works just like the original.

Rope blew out last weekend. Went to Amazon to look for replacement. Our mower is now 19 years old and still works like a champ. This is a OEM Honda part with all the markings on the sealed bag. Had to remove the old recoil starter to determine if it was just the rope or unit. Arrived after 4 days, took less than a minute to install and tighten the 3 nuts. Be sure to feed rope through handle before installing on engine. Mowed lawn this evening and started right up with this new recoil starter. Seems like it will work with rope up handle or just from the top of the engine. I am really pleased with this part and the price!

Needed to replace my broken pull start on my craftsman lawn mower, this was a simple and inexpensive option. The unit installed the same as the original and works as intended. Materials used such as the plastic, the rope, and weighted spring are lesser quality than the original oem one but stillworked none the less.

Genuine Honda part which fits and functions perfectly. Incredible value, especially considering the dozens of Chinese knockoffs selling for double the price, as well as the relatively high prices of replacement pull handles.The choice is clear; get the genuine Honda part for just a couple.bucks more than a replacement pull handle and string kit, and for 50% less than a Chinese knockoff.Quality part made of good, strong ABS plastic. Should last 15 years like the first one.I was also able to salvage the Honda decal from the old unit.

I thought my mower was toast when I pulled the starter cord and it broke, and the coil underneath poked out. I tried to fix it by buying a new starter cord, but a plastic piece on the assembly was broken, so I couldn't fix the coil. Given the price of this whole piece, I decided to give it a try. 3 bolts (one needed WD-40 to loosen) and it was fixed! My mower is a 1997 Honda Harmony II HRT216SDA and it fit perfectly. Started right up and keeps working each time I need it. Amazing machine and so happy to be able to still get parts to fix it. I know it's not the original RED color, but it looks fine. It's plastic, but so was the original. Same quality.

I needed a replacement for my Campbell Hausfeld pressure washer with a GC160 Honda engine. The pull cord broke and I tried to replace it, but the inside coil would return back to normal tension. I had the old one off and the new one on in less than 5 minutes. Great fit for an OEM replacement. not a big deal, but does not have a Honda sticker/decal...so if that is an issue for you, try to peel and save your old one to put on this. Which is what I did since my engine did not have "Honda" anywhere else on it but that top sticker.If you need a replacement recoil start pull cord assembly, then buy this with confidence...it will fit perfectly.
