Bought this to go with a new muffler. These made no difference on increasingly loud mower. Problem turned out to be a sticky exhaust valve causing excessive engine noise. "Fixed" (maybe temporary) with carb cleaner and WD-40 sprayed into carb.Gasket is fine; worked great. I just didn't need it.
