We replaced our water softner with this nuvo. We are on a well system with extremely hard water. No more salty water, this is a citrus based filter. It helps with mineral deposits but dose not eliminate. Serves our water uses as most water consumed is bottle.

The water comes out salty. I've tried soaking the filter as they told me and still have same problem. Not a happy camper.

We like the product but recently found out that we can enroll directly with the company to have cartridges delivered on a regular basis for much cheaper. So..... this is how we will purchase these in the future.

It works for the long nuvo with the blue top.

This is easy to install, but read the instructions and don't throw the waste water on concrete or block - experience shows it stains. Eventually the stain went away but the instructions were explicit not to do it. We have hard water with minerals and find that changing the filter every 6 months is cheaper than changing the faucets. Does not leave the water with the slimy feel like many softeners . Does it actually soften the water? Who knows. Does it keep the mineral deposits down. Yes.

I just installed the new cartridge in my NUVO water softener system( Bought from you in June 2019) and found that the product is defective because it leaks chemicals that stain the water blue and has metal taste. I found that these chemicals can have harmful effects if ingested for long periods of time. Think the cartridge is defective and should be replaced.Please advice.

I’m giving the filter Hugh rating as it seems to work well. The filter is $100.00 and the plastic container it goes in is $500.00. Go figure. I asked the company that makes them, Nuvo , why???They never responded. I wouldn’t use nuvo except where I live the water is horrible.
