This is a midweight coat. I had to add buckles to the neck portion--otherwise it was attached to nothing and slid down over the horse's head. I also didn't like the front clasps--I prefer a buckle.

The construction of this blanket is a bit weird. The diamond quilt fabric is thin so it needs to be used in warmer conditions or as a liner. The blanket has a joining seam down the topline of the horse, which in my experience allows water to seep in. The surcingles are of medium quality and the front off the blanket has surcingle buckles for closure as well I like this better than the traditional buckles which are harder to do up with cold hands. The belly bands adjusted long enough to fit my *ahem* rather portly 16 hand Lusitano and the drop of the blanket is very generous.I don’t like the fit of the blanket across the shoulders though. It is cut very high on the neck and the front closure doesn’t ease enough. So the blanket, while on the large size through the rest of the body, is small in the shoulders and chest.

This is a good quality waterproof turnout blanket. It's a different type of quilting than other blankets I've owned, but it fits my mare well. The fabric is 600D, which is not the most durable, but if you have a horse that's somewhat easy on their blankets it should last a season or two.I like that the neck cover is optional, especially when the weather isn't really cold. The neck is a high fit, so make sure you leave some room in the front. I like that the front fasteners are t-buckles - they're a lot easier and faster when your hands are cold. The faux fur at the wither helps prevent rubbing. The belly surcingles criss-cross and have good adjustment. The blanket also has back leg straps and a generous tail cover.

This is a decent blanket if you have realistic expectations as to what you get for under $100. The 75" fits as expected. The neck piece is optional. I like the quilting. It is on the thinner side which I had anticipated.

This is a nice turn out blanket. I know some have complained about quality and it being really thin and or fitting weird. So this is listed as a 600 D blanket. Now it does seem thin for a 600 D blanket. It is not as fluffy as the other ones I have seen and have. But I don't necessarily see that as a bad thing. I got this for a horse who gets a really nice winter coat and who will not need a heavy winter turnout blanket. I got the 78 inch one and it fits her really well. She is a little chunky in the midsection and there have been no issues with this fitting. I love that I have the option of putting the neck piece on or not. I wasn't sure how she would like something up by her neck, so knowing I don't have to have that on if I don't want to is great. She seems to like it and it keeps her warm but not over heated. It is water repellant which is nice and it does help to keep her clean when it gets wet out.Now as far as quality, it seems well made. Its not as soft and fluffy like the other ones I have, but the other ones I have also are not as water repellant which is one thing I really wanted with this one. Now for my girl who has a great winter coat this is perfect. Now one of the other horses who does not have as thick of a winter coat, this may not work as well for her, especially since she is happier when she has her riding blanket on during lessons. For a horse like that, yeah this is likely not going to warm enough on its own, and you may want to place another blanket underneath if you are wanting more of a water repellant to help keep them dry.So its not something that would necessarily be perfect for every horse, but certainly great for others. I do feel like the quality of the material is good. The stitching is done well and with basic care should last a really long time.

Low quality, not waterproof, thin and has funny fit. Terrible value. The description on this is completely wrong. This may work more as a liner under a waterproof sheet, but it didn’t fit my big bodied horses properly.
