Before I purchased this,, I tried to find out the interior dimensions, but none was listed. None listed on the Amazon site or one the Hobie site. So if you are interested, the interior box measures 14 1/2” L and 6” Wide. I did not measure the depth. It will fit 2 3700 size tackle trays. The only complaint is the red nut that you turn to tighten to secure the clamp onto the H rail is weak. It popped of on me during my first use.

It’s going to be a good addition to my PA 14 I do believe. First time used on the water and it quickly ended up being the trash bin. Not a bad idea for somewhere to store trash so it doesn’t blow out of the kayak. Its larger enough to fit some nice size tackle boxes so that’s a plus. But, however I’m a bit confused by the design. Get this, Hobie molded/drilled 6x weeping drain holes into the top of the lid. I understand that water can splash over on top of it and you may wanna have it to where it can drain. But.. here’s the confusing part. There’s no drain holes in the bin itself. Thought that was pretty odd myself. Why drain water off into a sealed bin? It’s not a deal breaker or anything because I might want the bin to hold water for live bait one day Idk lol. But I will say this. You’re going to want to find a way to attach the lid to the bin in case your every in a situation to where the wind is blowing or fishing and landing a fish and forget to strap the lid on and u knock it over board. I’ve lost lids and gear in the past because I didn’t put it back and lock it down and I lended over to net a fish and the lid slid off into the water. Never again. I’ll use a weep hole to add a lanyard or something.

I bought this with some gift money and thought maybe I would use it every now and then. But after a few fishing trips, this jewel really comes in handy. All the stuff I don't know were to put (like extra bobbers, fish scale, little flashlight etc.) I store in the bottom compartment. In the top section I put all the lures, hooks and spoons I used that day. Easy to access again and easy to remember to rinse off at the end of the trip. I hook my pliers, fish de-hooker, line snips and knife on coiled springy cords and attach those to the holes on the ends of the bin.Yep, I'm glad I bought it.

This is a great addition to use with the Hobie H-Crate or with a Hobie Kayak with the H rail system. The only thing that I would improve on is to have created some drain holes in the bottom of the main compartment. When it rains, it will collect water. That is easily remedied by drilling a few small hole in the bottom of the main compartment.

Bigger than I expected. Works great for stowing the little extras you need while fishing. Works great for a bait container for cut bait etc. I mount mine outside the rail for extra room. Keep it inside if you hang things in the holes.
