As a rule, I don't care for turnout blankets to be kept on horses, but I have one older blind mare that really needed one. It's been cold (even -30F windchill) and she has been wearing it consistently for turnout. She can get up and down easily and the straps and design of this blanket have kept it from flapping up in the wind or twisting and becoming sideways after she is down or rolling. The material, buckles and stitching are sturdy too. Overall this was a great purchase and I would buy another of this brand if needed. I have had horses for 50 plus years by the way, so I do know what works and what doesn't. This blanket does it's job! Well worth the purchase.

This horse blanket is high quality durable material. Keeping my horse warm and the detachable neck and belly band is nice when you don't need so much coverage, but for now the whole thing is keeping her warm. The colors are vibrant and we get compliments on it all the time!

I have a 29 year old TB horse and winters are hard on him for maintaining his weight. I love these jacket, not only does it keep him nice and warm it is also not super heavy on him. I love the extra belly latches, it helps the jacket stay on better if he wants to roll. The neck piece attaches super easy and stay in place. It's also water resistant which is great for him to get out of his stall/paddock but still be able to have his jacket on in the winter weather.

I absolutely love the quality, weight, and color of this blanket! My boy is between 16.2 and 16.3HH and this blanket fit him perfectly. It’s been great in the cold temps, the snow, and the wintry mixes we’ve been getting lately. He stays dry, clean (majority of the time —though that’s not the blanket’s fault, he’s determined to get as dirty as he can), and has just been great all around during turnout.Definitely would buy this or other blankets from here again!

Very sturdy, easy to use, except the neck piece folded up at the withers and behind the ears. Solution, clamp and strap from the hood withers to the d ring behind the withers on the blanket. It just needed a center stabilizer strap. My boy Bruce loves his stars & strips turnout blanket.

My old mare needed an even heavier blanket after an artic cold snap in our area. She struggled to retain heat and constantly shook to stay warm, so the search began for a heavier blanket for her. I am old fashioned when it comes to an important purchase like this in the sense that I want to see it in person. Online you never know what to expect, and with the level of importance this purchase was to me and the lack of availability at my local farm stores, I took the leap and ordered this. Best decision I made this year so far.Just picking it up, I could feel it was heavier then her other blanket, which was 300g. I constructed the blanket in the house, with hopes to lock in some of the heat there before I put it on my horse and to see how it all went together. It was easily assembled; I don't like that the neck straps aren't interchangeable should they get stretched out though. She sported the red and black plaid and seemed pleased with it. I sized it down, per the brands recommendation and am very glad I did, it fit her perfectly and there is still a lot of room to make adjustments in all areas of the blanket and neck attachment.The next morning we were pleasantly pleased with the amount of warmth locked in under this blanket. Her shoulders and neck were toasty warm while she battled the negative temps (not sweaty though.) I don't think the outside material on the blanket is as durable as her 300g one, but it was all still in one piece after 2 wears from a very spry old lady (24). There will be more updated to come as she gets more use out of it, but we are back in double digits (30s) for the foreseeable future. For the warmth thus blanket provides alone, this will be my purchase in the future.

The blanket is made very well and fits securely. Very impressed with the quality for the price. The hood attachment to this blanket is not designed well and all the hoods to all 5 blankets ripped easily and came loose from the blankets.One of the hoods I receive this year, 2024, was obviously use, dirty with a broken buckle.

This is a great horse blanket, not only does it look fantastic, fits wonderfully, keeps my horse,Nacho, warm and dry in the snow. I would recommend this blanket and purchase again.
