Looks real., and has a little weight to it. Blends in perfectly with some river stones. Has enough room for several keys if you choose. The door fits loosely and does not close tightly, so it's definitely not water proof, but it came with a small zip-lock bag to seal up your key(s) inside. I would say its worth the price to hide your key, and would buy again.

I'm always afraid I'm going to somehow lock myself out of my house. I mean this has the look and feel of a real rock. There's a side that you open and put the key in and it's protected from the elements.

I mixed this in with some real rocks. You can’t tell it’s fake. Easily fits a house key. Feel good about using it to hide a key at the cabin. Took a picture of it and it’s location to send to workers who might need access to the cabin when I’m not there.

I've seen reviews that complain this thing doesn't look like a 'real' rock. My experience is that people see what they expect to see, and it looks like a rock when people look at it in my yard. I've checked using my sons and grandkids.Other reviews complain it isn't waterproof. It isn't, by the way, but comes with a baggie. If you don't trust that, use one of your own. But use something, there's room in the compartment. Squeeze out the excess air first, though.The 'door' on the bottom is kind of loose, which I've seen mentioned in other reviews. Thinking about that, I realized that 7 years from now when I'm locked out of the house and this thing has been sitting with the bottom in the dirt, I don't want that door to be glued fast while I'm locked out of the house without any tools to pry it apart. If it is a little loose now I'll probably be able to wiggle it open then.

This actually seems to for the short amount of time we’ve had it worked very well. It once in a while with other rocks that we have it laid in with.

Super happy with this product. I did a lot of research over multiple types of hide-a-keys and sellers, and this was the one I ended up going with. Very pleased! Most realistic fake rock out there that I’ve seen, as well as the best quality. Especially for the price. Has some weight to it too. Can’t tell which is the fake unless I point it out.

This is a great item to have. My wife tends to lose her house keys often so she decided to place an extra key in the drawer of a desk on the carport. I did not like this idea as it was too easy to find and made me feel the house was insecure. I purchased this rock hide a key, it blends in great with the landscape where we placed it. It holds the spare key securely and out of sight. You cannot tell the difference between this and the other rocks in the landscape area. I would highly recommend this to other people. It makes me feel so much more secure about the house.
