These are the worst products I have ever bought when it comes to precision measuring. If you want your money worth buy the more expensive products because you are going to have to buy them a month after you get these ones anyway. Only buy these if you have a half inch tolerance

I needed a good set of micrometers in multiple sizes to assist in the refresh of 3 snowmobile engines. The reviews on these were mostly positive so I placed my order. They are well made, solid, and the mechanisms rotate well and feel good. The tension ratchets feel consistent. The standards look good, and both micrometers and standards are nicely finished. It wasn't obvious from the product photos but each micrometer also has it's size printed on the label, on the opposite side to the "HFS" company logo. I compared the standards across a couple of sizes and they measured consistently, and against a digital micrometer I have as well, (even if the micrometer isn't as accurate as these). These worked perfectly for measuring my pistons, calibrating my internal bore gauge for cylinder measurements, and measuring piston pins. Very happy with these. I would recommend, although I am no engineer, they worked fine for my engine building needs.

As another reviewer mentioned, the rods for calibration of the micrometers are not 100% accurate. On the 1" calibration rod, the ends are not completely squared, which can give calibration errors.Other than that, so far, the kit seems to be a good value.

They're very good for the money. Well them I got where.2 of the micrometer where spot on, and one slightly out. I just adjusted it with the small spanner that it comes with, now it to is spot on. I am a retired engineer, who as a small hobby shop.

It is a nice kit, the calibration rods aren't 100% accurate but the meters themselves seem like good quality.

The title says 0-6" range, and only comes with mic up to 4".

Well they aren’t Mitutoyu, but they’re plenty good enough for a home shop or school situation. They operate smoothly and come in a nice case. They’re accurate, but we’ll see how that accuracy holds up with use. Good all around value.

So far I have been very happy with these mics, they are accurate and operate smoothly. They are as good as the name brand micrometers that I have owned such as mitutoyo and starrett.

Nice set for the money. Using these at work and right along side an expensive set of Mitutoyo micrometers They work good and are just as accurate as the Mitutoyo ones. Standards where right on when tested with expensive mikes and they are nicely packed in a hard plastic case. The only problem I had was they had debris in the thimble threads and needed to be cleaned and oiled before use. Using them as spare miked as needed. Will but again when needed.
