I purchased this item because it was the pattern I wanted and the price was much lower than that of the manufacturer and the local craft stores. In fact none of the stores had this pattern. Little did I know the shipping was in excess of $12.00 which made the price more expensive than the local stores. Also, it took over 10 days to arrive. It was sent with a floss called Craftways rather than DMC floss. I have been using DMC on my projects for many years. I can't even tell you ho w many of these quilts I have made for friends and family. I've also used DMC on my counted cross stitch, and many other embroidery projects. This Craftways floss is a very poor substitute as it breaks, frays, etc. It is very frustrating and has taken so much more time to complete because of the poor quality of the floss.

Plus: looks great when done, (mostly) fun to do, easy to find coordinating stuffed animals or other complimentary items.Minus: printing of some sections was off, feathers and daisies are tricky because of the lines, was missing all of one floss color (I found something in my stash that worked fine) and didn't have enough of five other colors.

Not a fan of the thread they put in the kit so I always go and buy the DMC thread but I am glad they tell me the number for the colors.
