Constantia Pets Unbleached Natural Sea Sponges for Hermit Crabs 5 Pack
Real sea sponges can be an essential part of your hermit crab's environment. As well as being decorative, they can be beneficial to the health and well being of your hermit crab.
Environment Humidity: Sponges are very absorbent and hold much water. Placing some soaked sponges in your crabitat helps maintain tank humidity by giving a larger surface for water to evaporate. Due to the structure of their gills, a humid environment makes it easier for crabs to breathe.
Great for Exoskeletons: Sponges provide natural minerals which are essential to your crab's health and longevity. Hermit crabs access these mineral through eating the natural sponge.
Reduces Risk of Drowning: While Hermit Crabs can drink without a sponge, it is safer to have a sponge placed in the water dish. It provides a safer entry and exit point thus reducing the risk of drowning.
Regular Size 1.5"-2" Unbleached Sea Sponges
PACK CONTENTS: 5pc x 1.5"-2" sponges (sized when wet).
A Natural & Ideal Choice: Our sponges are unbleached, totally from nature with no additives and are of organic composition.
Ideal Size: 5pc x 1.5"-2" sponges (when wet).
Direction for Use: Place sponge in your crab's water dish ensuring it covers most of the dish. Please note sea sponges expand when saturated. Inspect regularly to ensure freshness and structural integrity of the sponge.
Sponge Care: To maximize the life of the sponges, inspect and change weekly. Rinse used sponges in hot water then soak in de-chlorinated water. Squeeze to remove excess water and let air dry completely. To ensure full disinfection, microwave the sponge for at least 1 minute.

This product was very useful and good quality. For perfectly in my hermit crabs water bowl. But, there was supposed to be five sponges and i’m assuming that it was a defect which would be odd because they are supposed to be completely natural . The fifth one came as a huge cluster and looks a little questionable. Other than that, It’s a great product.

These sponges are great! I like that they sent a big on so my hermies can climb on it! These are really well priced compared to the expensive ones at the pet store. Love the all natural quality. Seem very durable too! Will purchase again!

These sponges are just the right size for my crab's habitat. They fit well in their water dishes. The sponges retain water for a full day. They are easy to clean using warm water rinse. The crabs are definitely showing interest, as the sponges are never where I left them when I service their habitat in the morning,

Love these sponges! I’m using them for my leopard gecko in his humidy hide and they have been working much better than sphagnum moss and stays wet longer. Will definitely buy this product again!

Not sure if this is mold or not so I returned. Didn’t want to expose my crabs to it if it was…The package comes with 4 small sponges and then a very large sponge. The other 4 did not have black spots like the large one had.
