Much better than the official one thanks to its lower profile and sleeker design - holds the mics perfectly well and keeps them stable and noise free.

Bought this because the electrovoice shock mount is really bulky and people said this could work with EV mics. fits pretty well, decently balanced. cool looking mount.

Firstly, as did everyone else, I reject the idea of buying such a bulky shock mount as the 1st party Electro Voice shock mount, even though it is really effective. I wanted to find something that didn't look like I was trying to be Howard Stern, but also did a better job of rejecting vibrations than the $10 Boosen shock mount I was using. So far, this thing is exactly what I wanted. Definitely more bulky than the mount I was using, however it still looks like standard spider mount that doesn't take up a ton of space, and it does just as good of a job than the EV shock mount from what I can tell online. Another thing, this DOES work with the RE20 without any modifications, even though it wasn't made for it. You do have to carefully align the pin at the bottom of the RE20, but it will fit and it can be locked into place too. Definitely a better solution than the RODE Shock Mount mod.Ultimately, I still think its a little bit silly to spend this much on a shock mount, however, its the ultimate shock mount for the RE20, if you don't want the 1st party option. Its also super sturdy, and I can tell its going to last me a lifetime, or for as long as I use this mic. Only downside is the price.

Nice shock mount. Works perfectly with an Electro Voice RE20 microphone. There are no issues whatsoever, it fits perfectly and as new does not sag in any position. Go for it, it works. Looks great too, and all quality shock mounts are going to be a little pricey like this one. Very good quality, very useful. Not ugly.

I’ve been looking for a different Shockmount for my Re-20 and I wasn’t a big fan of the electrovoice one. When I found the heil Shockmount via Linus tech tips podcast I knew it would fit the bill. After getting it and hearing that it’s a little finicky to get the mic on the mount I don’t know if I got it on just right but I didn’t seem to have any difficulty installing it and it seemingly was made for the Re-20.Functionally does the it’s job and looks awesome doing highly recommend this product. Pricing was also fair although I got it on sale so prices may vary.

I use it with a RE20, it is well suited for that microphone.I was surprise by the weight of it: it is a bit heavy. So I guess you need a good boom arm to carry it with a mic like the RE20, but that was no issue for me.Anyway it really feels quality.

This is a very solidly made shock mount, all metal with nicely machined threads and pivot points. This is pro quality, not a look alike. My only nit to pick is that the mount point is probably 1mm "off center" with the weld so it's not perfectly optically square when I look at it. Most probably wouldn't even notice.

I have a couple of these on Heil PL2T booms with top of the line Heil mics for my ham radio shack. Highly sensitive mics are subject to spurious vibrations from bumping the bench, keyboard vibrations from typing, and many other irritating noises. The Heil PRSM mounts keep the vibrations away from your mic so you only transmit quality sound. Bob Heil works hard to make sure his products perform as they should and makes sure he only sells quality items. I have one of these in both colors to match my mics and I also have a couple of the SM-1 shock mounts. Heil stocks replacement elastic bands for these and they are widely available from other stores. I highly recommend the Heil shock mounts (and booms!). A personal experience about Heil technical support - I bought a new HF radio and sent an email at 10:30 at night to Heil technical support asking about mic and cable combinations. Within 10 minutes I had a reply to my email and it came from Bob himself! I didn't have to wait until the next day for an answer. I have dealt with Heil tech support for some other questions related to buying Heil products and have always had excellent experiences with Heil.

I love this shock mount! I couldn't really understand why it had such a hefty price tag but now it's all assembled... I GET IT!

Solid. Studio quality, which was the original idea. Been using a desk mike for about a year which is fine, but I always felt I needed to bend over towards the thing go talk into it otherwise I had to turn the gain up so much that people complained about feedback coming from my speaker (which was BEHIND the mike). This unit - combined with an articulating mount and a PR-40 mike - solved that problem as well as clearing up some desk space. Overall pricey solution, but this isn't necessarily a "cheap" hobby, is it? You can't go wrong with one of these.
