These trash bags are very heavy duty. We have overfilled them many times without the bag tearing or breaking.

I purchase these bags in bulk for their value and strength. Our group, Tacos Not Bombs CC, use them to collect trash after we feed the homeless every Sunday. This is the best Hefty choice. It's not see-through. They are very strong. And it's not like the stretchy garbage bag. It's an old school garbage bag with a tie that you can tie around the bag or tie the ties. Whatever floats your boat. This is my go to garbage bag. Walmart stopped selling this particular make.

I use these for yard clippings, leaves, weeds, etc. and they work just fine. My only complaint is that the drawstring doesn't tighten up easily. Whenever I try to pull the drawstring to close the top, it kind of gets stuck on the back and won't close all of the way. Then I have to manually push the bag part back while pulling the string.
