I recently installed the Heavy Duty U-Shape Metal Post Base Holder, and I’m impressed with how solid and sturdy it is. This post base holder feels like it’s built to last, providing a strong foundation for my 4x4 posts. The heavy-duty metal construction really gives me confidence that my posts are securely anchored, even in windy conditions.Installation was straightforward, and the pre-drilled holes lined up perfectly, making the process smooth and hassle-free. The U-shape design snugly fits the posts, keeping them stable and preventing any wobbling. The only reason I’m giving it four stars instead of five is that the finish could be a bit better. After a few weeks, I noticed a bit of rust starting to form on the surface, which was a little disappointing. However, this is a minor issue and can be easily fixed with a coat of rust-resistant paint.Overall, this is a solid and reliable product that does exactly what it’s supposed to do. If you’re looking for a strong, durable post base holder, this one is definitely worth considering.

I recently put up a pergola in my backyard with two of the 4x8’s secured to the ground. I only had one of these, the other one I used was more of a spike vs setting it in concrete like this one. One side required that I use concrete, so it worked out. Being that I used two different products that are installed two different ways, this gave me a great comparison. Firstly the concrete method was vastly better than the ground spike one, we recently had a storm with 100 mile an hour winds, they both stayed in place but I was far more relaxed when it came to this product being that it is installed in cement. The other one although it did stay in the ground, did sway a bit. One drawback is that once this is set in place, it’s there forever vs the spiked versions that can simply be pulled out of the ground, so it really depends on what you are using it for. I liked the stability so much that I will buy another one to replace the spiked one and set it in concrete, overall this puts me much more at ease because this post holder is heavy duty and works extremely well.

I wanted to add a bridge from my house deck the roof deck on the garage and needed one column to do so. This base set in the concrete easy, as it came fully assembled. Once the concrete dried, I added the column, leveled it and connected with the bolts provided and away we went.

These things are a beast! I used them to support 8’ 6x6 beams and they do not budge. The neighborhood will blow down before they ever move. Definitely worth the money, would give 6 stars if I could.
