This spring does not stretch at all, the threshold of stretch is higher than the force I can apply and the weight of my bag, over 50 lbs.

This isn’t the best for punching bags since the top and bottom don’t have a full circle for a carabiner to clip in to. It can jump off the bag rack. It is very strong tho, I used it with a 75lbs bag and it absorbs a lot of the shock making it quieter and easier on the bag rack. Editing a year later, Have no problem with bags over 100lbs jumping off. But the smaller bags do jump off. I have had one on a 190lbs Aqua bag and it never snapped. Very impressed with stregth. Just not good for lighter bags.

The product description says it will begin to stretch after just 24 lbs. Well, I hung a 100lb heavy bag off of it, then grabbed onto the bag and swung my entire weight from it and the spring didn't stretch so much as a millimeter. Might as well have been cast iron. Obviously it did not work to absorb the shock from using the bag.

I bought this for my 100lb punching bag. The spring handles the bag effortlessly. It also keeps the bag from spinning and moving around too much.
