This thing is overbuilt.it uses real 550 cord. its thick and hefty in a great way. i used this lanyard on my aluminum GOVO badge holder for my TWIC card. It may be over kill but I dont want to lose my card and have to get a new one if i lose it. Better to be overprepared than underprepared as what the USCG taught me. I like that they have a USA flag device tied onto it. the buckle is way overbuilt but it is VERY strong.What makes this really amazing is that the entire thing is made of either 550 cord or the metal buckle. the ONLY plastic piece is that little mini lanyard and even that is made very durably. the only fault i can find if it is "considered" a fault is the tiny little line the plastic piece its attached to.for 13 bucks for two of these is a great deal because other lanyards are flimsy and the fear of tearing away if it gets caught on something. However this thing seems like it can last a life time unless someone deliberately cuts it.
