Product seems to work fine with the snow mats kit. Using 4 stair mats and the large mat as a landing pad for the ground, so the extension was needed for the bottom of the stairs. Firstly, not sure if this is a mat issue or an extension cable issue, but they seem to lose heat the more you add in a chain. So the very first stair mat gets warm, but the landing pad using this extension does not get as warm. It stays above freezing and still melts plenty of snow, but it's something to note. I wanted the 20 foot extension as advertised in the product description so I could move the landing pad to the icy parts of the ground in front of the stairs. It changes sometimes based on how much rain we have.I need this mat now as it's basically winter, so the 3ft extension does the job, but it's not what was advertised.Again, product IS the size shown in the thumbnail (3ft). NOT the "20-Feet" listed in the description.
