Absolutely not correctly programmed to mimic an HDR display. False advertising

It's a dummy HDMI. Not much to it. Plugged into my home linux server so I can access it via GUI and not just via ssh. Trying to configure the X server or VNC ended up being too much of a hassle. This HDMI is literally plug and play. Again, not much to it. Works perfectly, and even has a blue LED on the end to indicate it is working.

I've got my old ASUS RoG laptop running an Android emulator using BlueStacks. Apparently there's no way to have the machine running and turn the screen completely off, without plugging in a second monitor. Not wanting to burn in the screen, one of my colleagues recommended an HDMI dummy plug to fake the computer into thinking it had a second monitor plugged in. With one of these plugs in the HDMI port, I configure the display settings to send the primary desktop to the "external monitor" only, and this shuts off the laptop screen altogether. With Google Remote Desktop installed, I'm able to access the desktop from other computers or from my phone. Works like a champ!

Unfortunately it is not compatible with my computer. I should have done more research before ordering.

It’s a dummy HDMI, I got it for my home lab which slows down UI when no display is plugged in making Remote Desktop nearly unusable.

Work wonders for remote control with having to have a monitor. Just plug and the system recognize the virtual monitor. Easy to use no drivers or taking time to configure. Well build and connects without issues. Remote access without any fuss or video issues. And best of all not expensive

It works properly, but unlike the HDMI dummy plug I bought for my M1 Mac mini, this one doesn't present 1920x1200 for my Intel Mac mini, which is why I bought it (for filling my Dell monitor over Screen Sharing [VNC]).It does work, including for 4K, but if you're looking for this specific resolution, look for another one.
