I read the reviews and purchased it, smooth operation and crimped tight on connections and metal bezel adjoining the insulating plastic to terminal's. I used it on a mini bike headlamp to switch pilot, low and high beam.Looks old school and classy.Wish it had a schematic for wires included but if you have a meter your fine😌Thank you ✌🏻

fit my 1995 John Deere 870 4x4 tractor, harness connector was correct, fit dash well, handle feels solid when turned to each position and all functions match old switch locations, nice to have lights again for plowing snow this winter

A lot cheaper than John Deere original part. Needs a small modification to either the switch or the panel. OEM part has a flat spot on the barrel, this part is round. Rather than cutting the panel opening (which has a corresponding flat spot also), I decided to grind a flat spot onto the barrel. The barrel is die cast aluminum and can ground or filed pretty easily. The push-on terminals match perfectly and the switch functions are identical. At the end I was happy with the results. My JD is a compact diesel tractor model 855.

It works as a replacement switch for my 1996 John Deere 870. It was basic to install, which I credit to JD. I gave it only three stars because after I tightened it all in, I pulled the harness slightly to plug it in and the back popped off the switch sending the internal copper plates and springs into the tractor abyss. I had to remove the shrouding of the tractor to fish them out and then had to piece it back together. Once I did, I crimped the case better than they did in China and reinstalled it. It works for now.
