About this item

  • PACK WITH 3 LEGENDARY COFFEES: This convenient coffee bundle includes three legendary coffees, considered by many coffee experts the best coffees in the world. The pack includes the famous specialty coffees Jamaica Blue Mountain, Hawaii Kona, and Panama Geisha (pack with 3 boxes with 7oz of each coffee, 1.31lb in total).
  • JAMAICA BLUE MOUNTAIN COFFEE: This rare Jamaican coffee is certified by the Jamaica Agricultural Commodities Regulatory Authority. It is the only coffee transported across the globe in handmade, wood barrels. It is a delicate and lightly fruit-toned arabica coffee, with chocolate flavor notes and sweet finish.
  • HAWAII KONA COFFEE: One of the most sought after specialty coffees in the world. It is grown on the slopes of volcanoes Hualālai and Mauna Loa, which are located in the Kona district of the Big Island of Hawaii. It is sweet, balanced and very smooth, with impressive caramel flavor notes. A truly exquisite Hawaiian coffee.
  • PANAMA GEISHA COFFEE: The Geisha coffee varietal was first discovered in Ethiopia in the 1930s and it reached coffee stardom in 2004, when it won an important competition and caught the attention of international experts. Since then, Gesha coffee has been consecutively breaking price records due to its unique flavor and scarcity. Known for its jasmine aroma, with impressive mango and mandarin flavor notes.
  • GREEN COFFEE BEANS FOR ROASTING: Single origin coffees for roasting with a coffee bean roaster. We recommend that coffee roasters for home use are set to a medium roast profile to best experience the beautiful aroma and flavor notes of these coffees.
  • PERFECT GIFT FOR COFFEE LOVERS: The coffees come in beautiful boxes. It is one of the nicest coffee gifts and a great addition to gourmet gift baskets. The perfect coffee present for you or for the coffee lover in your life. A specialty coffee variety pack sampler and gourmet coffee collection.
  • COMMITMENT TO ENVIRONMENT AND COMMUNITY: Hayman partners with the Specialty Coffee Association to promote sustainability, quality, and fairness in the coffee community.

A Whole New Coffee Concept

Specialty Coffee

To be graded specialty coffee, arabica beans need to score at least 80 points on a 100-point scale with objective quality standards. Most coffee doesn't make the cut and therefore is not part of our offering to you.

Freshly Roasted

Your coffee is roasted only when the order is received in our roastery for maximum freshness. Coffee starts losing aroma and flavor right after leaving the roaster, and this happens even faster if it is ground.

In All Formats

Coffee is delivered in the most convenient format to you. All coffee is available as whole bean, ground, coffee pods, and even as unroasted green beans for those who prefer to do the coffee roasting themselves.

Ethical & Sustainable

We work directly with coffee farmers and with importers who share our goal of empowering farmers with fair pay and long-term partnerships. We use only low-emission roasting equipment in our modern facilities.

Brewing Tips

Grinding

If possible, use a burr grinder instead of a blade one. A quality burr grinder ensures an even grind and therefore a good extraction. Try to grind your coffee just prior to brewing and grind only the amount you need. Coffee preserves freshness for longer as whole bean than as ground.

Weighting

To use the right coffee-to-water ratio is key, so it pays off to invest in a good digital scale to measure by weight. Depending on the coffee brewing method, we suggest a coffee-to-water ratio between 1:13 and 1:17. The exception is the espresso, a .85–1.2fl oz (25–35ml) beverage prepared from .25-.32 oz (7–9g) of coffee.

Water Quality

Given that brewed coffee is about 98% water, it is easy to understand why water quality is crucial when it comes to coffee brewing. Whether you run tap water through a carbon filter or you opt for bottled water instead (aim for water with a pH level of 7), the important thing is to make sure your water tastes good.

Storing

We recommend storing your fresh roasted specialty coffee in the original Hayman coffee bag, which comes with a one-way degassing valve and a zipper seal to lock in freshness, or alternatively in an airtight container, and then placing either of them in a cool, dark place.
