This stainless steel infuser spoon is well made. The only negative side to this is the strength of your hand needed to open the spoon to put loose tea into it. If this is for an older person who isn't really strong, it would be difficult for them to use. I have very strong hands and it still takes all my strength to squeeze the sides of the spring handle to open it. For most people, I believe it would take both hands to squeeze it open. An older woman would probably have quite a difficult time using it.

The spring is great, not too hard to squeeze, and keeps the infuser shut. I had a similar type that clicked shut, and it would pop open unexpectedly. Not this type, it stays sealed. Tea grit will pass thru, but that is normal for an infuser that isnt made of metal mesh. Easy to clean, and can go thru the dishwasher with silverware.

Well-made and the spoon shape is truly the best design for tea infusers! It works like tongs. The 2 perforated spoon halves fit nicely together. Love these!!!!!

I love this for the larger loose leaf teas and herbs for steeping, however, fine ground will escape thru the holes which are larger. I suggest using a mesh strainer over cup if using a finer grained tea.
